WipEout HD Fury on the PS3. It was easy to learn, next to impossible to master, yet I pulled it off. The racing was fluid, the AI were challenging yet fair, the scenery was mind-blowing for a PS3 (it ran at 1080p at 60fps with a rudimentary form of dynamic lighting, ON A PS3!), and the sound design was crisp and amazing. The soundtrack was the best OST I've ever heard in a video game, hands down. If you have a PS3, I highly recommend picking up a copy of WipEout HD Fury off eBay

Vanilla GTA IV actually runs better now than it did on launch because it was such a resource hog.

At the risk of pissing off GTA fans, IV aged way better than San Andreas.
