Statistically, as a man, is it worth it to get in a serious relationship with a woman?
70% of divorces are started by women. 90% among college educated women.

Couples have intimate relations on average once a week. Only 5% of couples have intimate relations 4 or more times a week.

Most young men are currently single. Most young women are not. This is because women in general don't wan't to "marry down". They want to "marry up". As in they seek older richer men.

Despite the previous statistics, women are more likely to own an adult toy than men.

For the other 2 statistics, I can't post NSFW content.

1minutes each. Nothing hard about it.

That's not what I meant. My point is that calling it "intimate relations" is ridiculous. There's euphemisms and there's completely obfuscating what you are trying to say. Encounters are not "relations", you have a relation and encounters are part of it.

From further extensive research, it appears they are referring to relations pertaining to the boinking variety.

Yeah, that's not going to work for me. I require at minimum 4 times per hour.

There’s truth to what you are saying but it’s still a narrative being spun. Yes women are making more money is a huge reason for the initiation of divorce. But does that mean they don’t have to “deal with men’s crap?” Maybe maybe not. A missing consideration is so women are staying with men only out of financial motivations? Yes.
Bad sylogism there. Just because financial stability isn't a blocker to initiate divorce by women doesn't mean it's the driving factor of most divorces.

Kind of like despite winged birds can fly doesn't mean all animals with wings do.

In fact the article linked in the OP already points to multiple factors non related to financial stability as causes to initiate a divorce.

Pretty much what this thread () and several 'men's movements' are about.

Marriage is a gamble.

You will never know the outcome of it, especially in western countries be prepared to split Fifty Percent of everything you own to your spouse if they ever decide to divorce. Marriage used to be a lifelong commitment but now it's just a means for the woman to use the man and life off of his wealth and you're absolutely right, they go for wealthy men, those with money, so they don't have to work and make the man do everything. If you think your spouse will live and die with you till death do us part, that's just a fairy tale and only less than 1 percent of marriages end up like that, you have to be extremely lucky.

In conclusion, now days marriage isn't worth the hassle, it's a gamble, better to keep a common law relationship, at least in that you don't feel like you've been robbed of your dignity and hard work and spouses can choose to seperate anytime without involving courts etc. Also rule of thumb, never ever trap yourself with kids, once you do and your spouse divorced you, she will take the kids and trust me the court always favors the mother over the father, and then you end up paying child allowances until you die.

The women that say they don't need a man are lying to themselves. Most of them still would get with a rich man. I would bet my life on it.
I'd say yes for the majority of men, but not for me........ It took two failed engagements to realise I was the problem.

Happily & (probably) forever single........ Just me and my little girl is all I need.

i don't really care about the Statistics of it
i just don't see a reason currently to do so.
it's not worth the hassle of managing life, a job, bills, friendships, hobbies then on top of that a relationship and the possibility of a kid.

Also Marriage is a dumb idea in the first place.
why would you legally bind yourself to another person?
the tax benefits are minimal and even with a prenup the other party can still fight
to have a lawyer "divide assets fairly between the spouses should the marriage end"

it's just not a good idea in so many cases and usually ends up with one party getting screwed.
Rich girls don't marry poor boys. It's sad but true most of the time.

common law is unplanned parenthood.

Bro, both of my brothers got married and are undergoing a divorce, their legal battles/cases has been going for more than a year costing them thousands of dollars of lawyer fees and running back and forth to courthouses fighting over children custody and payouts. Both of my brothers lost their homes, they had to sell them. And in both scenarios, the wives started the divorce.

After seeing the dilemma both my brothers are in, I can safely say marriage isn't worth it.

Do what you like, the world will tell you do this and do that and principles will say do this and do that but ultimately its a load of bull.

Keep yourself safe sexually using protections against STDs/STIs.

Beyond that it is up to you to figure out what you want to do, but keep yourself safe financially and nobody on this planet is trustworthy, so don't trust if it isn't in a contract.
After being married to an absolute melter when I was much younger, I'm enjoying the bachelor life to much to give it up.
