But I liked The Good Doctor a very different type of star, a guy with autism becomes a surgeon.
Wish I had watched this years ago may have alleviated some of my concerns about medical operations and things.
If you want a slight insight to autism its a good show if you want to see a guy and his colleagues progress through their careers its a good show.
If you want to see how people cope in the medical field it is a good show.
If you want to see an angry Hugh Laurie unfortunately you will be disappointed.
All the other shows I think were worth watching aired before House. There should be a listing of all the medical shows that have aired on TV somewhere.
Chicago Med is decent.
I don't like the US remake of the Korean drama.
I'm not sure someone else could pull off a genius ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ character like House. It took a good team of writers and a good actor to do it.
Sometimes over at reddit there's an argument who should play Gordan Freeman if there is a Half-Life movie. I think Huge Laurie would be a great pick because he has the attitude and sarcasm to pull off a character who is a total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Remember Gordon did stuff like blow up people's lunch and collapse the elevator, turn on the defense turrets, etc. So many times he just stood and watched the chaos from pushing a button.
did it for both House and Shameless somewhere in the middle.

Medically it was ridiculous. IMO it was about a troublemaker who every time things were OK had to get in there and cause hell for everyone around them.
Heck, it took me years to be free of family (ex)members with this personality. Watching it became a chore.
My ex and I (circa 2016) bought the series on DVD and got partially through it before getting sick of it and ended up selling it on Feebay for a loss. Good riddance!
So, if the OP wants a medical show, there are other choices. IMO ER might be the best. If they want a show about a guy with a personality disorder that is another deal.
