It did nothing. Buying the probiotics just burned some of my money. Absolutely no effect.
I think they're snake oil. They put some bacteria in a pill and tell you it will work wonders. No it won't.
I genuinely don't know. According to numerous doctors and studies, good quality pro-biotics do work and do have an affect. Not everyone feels something.
I did not expect to get diarreah, stomach pain and nausea from this if you ask me. It frustrates me a little and makes my anxiety kick in as well.
But my blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen levels and my apple watch heart monitor frequency thingy, all say I am alright.
So does the urine test results I did at home.
This is why you can´t say one diet is perfect for everybody or one type of suppliments can do wonders etc.
You need to to find out, what your unique body needs.
Ofc there are some logical ideas about what groups of food ie. that you might have a good exeprience with and what to stay away from, but that is more a modern thing (fast food, hard processed foods in general, etc)
Anyway there are many different types of pro biotics and they might vary in quality.
pickles (salted) are also a very good and healhty source
try it from a food source like greek yogurt or sauerkraut, just make sure it hasn't been pasteurized to hell and back
Yes, all I am saying is, think about it big time before you do so. It can have quite the effect on your body, one needs to be aware of this.
When I read into pro-biotics, it was never really mentioned anywhere that you can get diarreah, nausea for days or even weeks because of this. I wish they would have stated that more saying it can happen to some individuals.
I don't even mind the diarreah, but the nausea and weird feeling in my stomach isnt anything I want to deal with nor wish upon anyone. I am already tired and fed up from cough and stuffy nose, due to allergy or whatever this is, I dont also need gut issues.
Guys. I normally do exactly what you said, I normally do eat greek yoghurt, make myself ayran, eat sauerkraut and so on, I never ever had problems with these and once I do this for a few days, I feel quite good after a short amount of time and also appear to become healtheir after a week and even lose weight.
The reason I tried pro-biotics were as said due ot my allergy, thinking it would do something magical and because it says that it delivers like 57 bacteria stems, which I would never get through yoghurt or sauerkraut.
I did not even drink any caffeine today.
The idea is to start a new colony not add to an existing one.
Actually my parents are making their own yoghurt since like 2 years already ? They also bake their own bread and so on and on. But then they are kind of rich and can afford all these funny toys to make all this stuff, I am not. lol.
I make my own Ayran and the yoghurt I choose is usually natural, over here in Germany we have numerous regulations, so if you want a clean product you get a clean product.
It is funny that you mention Ayran by the way, yesterday evening when I felt bad, I did drink a normal cup of home made ayran with a bit of salt and ate some cucumbers on the side, I felt alright at night and did not really have stomach issues.
I think I am gonna go back to that diet as I need to lose weight anyway.
But man, I geuinely hope I feel better soon as this nausea comes back in waves so do my visits to the loo.
I hope its not some dangerous diseases and really just the pro-biotics messing with me *health anxiety kicks in*.
If you take Pro-Biotics with a low fiber intake that is bound to happen. Pro-Biotics has been a beneficial intake for humans ever since we discovered it, if something is happening in your body that is not supposed to happen, I'd instead assume that something is wrong with you, rather than the thing you consume. Don't take this the wrong way I'm not trying to be mean here.
You can read about it here

Lactobacillus is not something I have heard anyone get issues with.
Its often used if you have had issues with gut for longer duration.
With all that being said. Don´t drink caffeine before after your breakfast have settled.
