I had it on VHS for such a long time but never watched it, and few months ago I watched it with my sister and I enjoyed it so much that I can easily say its my favorite superhero movie ever. It's edgy, campy as all hell, it has Evanescence and other bands for cool kids, its incredible.
Personally don't like sonic and never consider watching it at first. Until I saw Jim carrey name.
Turns out quite enjoyable.
Dark Shadows (2012)
Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (2012)
Book of Henry (2017)
Ghost in the Shell (2017)
Underwater (2020)
a tv series i didn't think i'd like called Prison Break showed on channel 5 back in the mid-2000's, i saw it and found it enjoyable to watch.
Never seen one of the other ones and me and my friend wanted to go to the movies but every other movie available was even less interesting. Yes, the movie was really dumb, but the movie knew it was dumb and absolutely rolled with it. I can't say I wasn't entertained.
"Star Trek: Beyond"
After liking the first Nu Trek movie and utterly hating the second, I was not expecting a lot. Also I knew, that the director was Justin Lin (see The Fast and the Furious 5"), the trailer included Kirk riding on a dirt bike while "Sabotage" played as score. I am not sure, why I went anyway.
I am glad, i did. It turned out, that this is clearly the best of the Kelvin-timeline movie. Not good in a "i like it regardless" way, but a genuinely good movie. What a pity, that it flopped, I would really have liked to see more Star Trek movies with that crew and that kind of script. which is probably the closest any of the movies came to capturing the feel of the tv shows.
So Justin Lin, you surprised me twice.
"Transformers"
I don't like Michael Bay movies and the Transformers movies are Bay it his worst, but the initial movie was actually a decent flick, despite some of Bays flaws. Here he clearly put some effort into the movie unlike the sequels.
But 1-6 kind of had a progression to the story and mythology.
Other than that..

Silver Linings Playbook
All's Faire in Love

Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
A Walk to Remember

There's Something About Mary (I know... I must have been under a rock.)

Reign of Fire
I now regard Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008) to be one of the best fantasy movies ever made. Great balance of production, world building, and narrative writing.
Not as good as the original LOTR trilogy, but above Harry Potter or Narnia.
