Anyone noticed Christians (and other religious folks) becoming more and more hostile lately? What happened to the 90s era of working things out?
In fact it seems religion in general is becoming all hostile and everything is about bubbles and safe spaces instead of open communications and working things out. The 90s pop culture and culture in general was more reflective of working things out and for better or worse there was a lot more group focus activities.

Now everyone wants to be wrapped in their own individual shells and when the shells collide all hell breaks loose on a scale never before seen where you almost can't take a walk without some form of protection even if it's something as simple as mace.

I can understand some of the underlying causes as companies no longer care for the needs of the customer but all the crap throwing is only going to make them crack down on free speech even more so.

All I ever see is media spreading dehumanizing propaganda against Christians and other religious groups to the point it becomes trendy to ♥♥♥♥ on them. It's astonishing that anyone, anywhere, finds it surprising that there's actually some push back from religious groups.
It's funny that you are so proud of using your right to free speech to commit hate crimes against people who are different from you, but you can't allow those same rights to criticise you.

Do you need a reminder that christianity is the biggest, richest religion in the world? You're not victims, you just have a persecution complex. It's easier for you to justify hating outsiders if you believe they're all trying to kill you. I can see it in the thought of the christians in this thread. The more you believe you're being attacked, the quicker you are to lash out at any perceived offence against you.

Dude, what the ♥♥♥♥ are you talking about? I never said I was religious. But I can point out when someone makes up ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to justify their own hatred against someone who is. I've been atheist since I was 10, but at least I am intellectually honest enough to admit most the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, toxicity, and hatred I see isn't coming from Christians. The fact you just accused me of being Christian because I don't walk in lockstep with your own hatred against them proves my point.
As an agnostic for 40+ years, I have never been bothered, harassed, threatened etc from any religious groups that I recall. Unless you count 'woke', 'vaxxer' or 'democrat' to be a religious group. But thats more cult than religion.

But the legitimate religions though? they have been remarkably tolerant. I don't bother them and they don't bother me. Problem is, too many atheists lack the self control to do the 'don't bother them' part. Then they whine when there are consequences. That's why, despite not being religious myself, I'm inclined to side with them over the others.

Is that why I get at least one knock on my door every damn weekend AM hour with people handing out Jesus tracks? Even though I've repeatedly told them I'm not interested? And I have no Trespassing signs up? And a closed/locked gate? There's enough room between the gate bricks and the fence for people to squeeze in and they do. I tried to put a prickly bush there but it just died because plants hate me.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Bible Belt.

Maybe God won't let that prickly bush grow for a reason. One day your heart will be open and you will accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior.

Praying for you. God bless.

True, I don't live in that part of the country. Maybe if I did, I would have a different experience and feel differently on the subject. Or maybe personality is a factor.

How awesome is it though that we can live in two different parts of the same country, and have two totally different cultural experiences? Yay diversity! (that's good, right?)

What are you even talking about, the 90s is where the Christians got owned, turn the other cheek and they didn't understand the left didn't play by the rules, and so the new atheists attacked religion and pushed it out of all public spaces only to replace it with their new religion, dogmas which can't be questioned, flag waving wearing their religion on their foreheads like they accused others of doing, all bad faith, and now some Christians understand this.

The bad old days of the so called Christian right the left raise up as a straw man were ones where Tipper Gore a democrat was going after rap music in stores, you could still buy it, its nothing on the level of cancellation you see from the people who claimed they knew a better way now.

The secular rainbow religion has proven itself to be most intolerant and without any moral limits at all.

See what I mean?

BTW, I have a friend carving me a stone statue of Baphomet to go there. No joke he's been working on it for almost a year. It's looking good.

He keeps telling me I need to put a camera on it when I put it up so I can see who dynamites it within the week. He's probably not wrong.

I like living in a country that is a mix of cultures. Obviously, I love Mexican food. I love New Orleans Jazz, Memphis Blues, and both are great cities to visit.

Now you get up to Boston, and I can't understand anyone.

Hate crimes are committed against all the groups you don't like, but you won't call it that, and that is the problem.

Its the two faced nature we see with the backers of Palestinian genocide today "never again", just brazen hypocrisy.
I wouldn't say this is exclusive to religious people... Some very non-religious groups are the same way and make rash generalizations.

No one cares, those are individuals, they aren't taking your tax money or forcing students to pay for indoctrination like the new rainbow religions which make worship of "pride" the mandatory religion.
Could you tell me where they have gas chambers killing Palestinians, or how Hamas isn't dedicated to destroy Isreal and hiding behind civilians as was done in Korea and Vietnam?

Millions of Jewish people were murdered in WWII.

(Your're) right about the first half but a lot of the 'flat earthers' have nothing to do with the 'Jesus' stuff just saying from experience. Most don't even go to church.

Believe me, They go hand in hand. A lot of bible thumpers still think the earth is 6000 years old and any day only the true believers will be raptured. I've been hearing it for the last 30 years.

They don't, the most fervent creationists are now the atheist leftists who deny evolution has anything to do with human beings, men and women no difference, never mind people from different regions, some how atheist god made everyone the same!

"Men have an advantage in strength that goes beyond being more muscular.

We know this because they tend to be stronger even when members of both sexes are matched for muscle mass."

No Christians took it that far, so you have lost that argument completely.

There is no limiting on the madness of leftist atheism, you can make the argument that the big religions are evolutionary beneficial, its very clear the new leftist religious mania is the opposite, they worship sterility and extinction.
