I, too, choose this guy's Mom's spaghetti.
(Sorry, couldn't resist, I just had to. :))
Memorable Foods:
A prime rib roast I cooked on a grill. It was perfect. And, no, I've never been able to satisfactorily duplicate that one perfect grilled roast.
An awesome deluxe everything Burrito I had, once, when I was particularly hungry.
A massive ice-cream sundae-like concoction I had at a specialty ice-cream shop when I was a child.
I don't really see "food" as being all that special or notable... I just see it as "fuel." So, when it comes down to recipes or foods that someone would say they really liked, I don't really have any notable favorites.
Take a Rib Eye, bring it up to room temperature by leaving it out of the fridge for 30 minutes, salt and pepper it with COARSE salt and black pepper, heat up a cast iron pan or grill to piping hot, put steak down on it and not directly over the flames, and flip after a few minutes once a crust has formed, put some butter down in the pan or a separate pan with some FRESH sage in it. Spoon or baste the butter over the steak while the other side cooks. Wait for the butter to foam up before spooning or basting.
Pull off after other side gets a good crust. If it is cooked too much in the middle, you needed higher heat to start. If it isn't cooked enough, make sure you know Medium is the right temperature. Let it rest for 5 minutes and you're good.
🍗🇹🇼🥫
properly made ones are the best thing ever.
The first time I ever had a kebab with chips in it with ketchup and mayo sauce.
Pitta bread, stuffed full with chips (not crisps, not fries but actual chips ) and cheese melted over the top of it with the sauce poured over that.
I miss that takeaway.
Add prawns or chicken or pork to stir-fry
Restaurants I can't go to because no money.
