American women dating Foreign men in record numbers

Many American women are now seeking relationships abroad in foreign countries, with some citing the toxic dating scene in the U.S.

What are your thoughts on this? Have American men ruined their chances with their attitudes or are women now simply dating broadening their horizons in a global world?

There’s a lot of hedonism here, pleasure and indulgence at the cost of dignity, the worth of others or perhaps themselves just for pleasure. It would make sense to venture to somewhere else, untainted, I suppose

As per woman doing that OP, my guess would be the ongoing political division across the country perhaps? Otherwise a more pessimistic answer would be, they're jumping ship before mass productions of robots start to cause even more severe collateral damage to the dating market over there, since robots of all kind will be 1st mass produced in the developed countries & nuclear states in general.

I don't really think the claim is as widespread as it may be made out to be. Most Americans are not on Tinder and only 4% of the female subscribers have paid memberships.

So, uh... I think that the inference that should be made from this is very simple:

"The toxicity of Tinder dating in the US may be pushing some minority of female Tinder users to seek out overseas relationships."

And, honestly, the implied novelty and mystery of what overseas men may be like, their wealth, etc... may push more of that than claims of bad relationship results.

Now, a further analysis might be a bit more revealing....

These user's selections of domestic partners for dating may, indeed, be likely to result in toxic relationships. It is assumed that the frequency of those selections is much more likely to be greater than those pairings with men overseas. That may lead to selection bias when, in potential fact, ALL relationships formed exclusively through Tinder are, in fact, likely to be toxic.

I really think it is hopeless to speculate as to why this is happening. Maybe better to just ask the women?

My own personal feeling is that it's not so much men, rather the division in the country at the moment and the way that some states are reducing women's rights. That's not happening in Europe and it may well be a reason why some women want to leave.

i think it's just a natural conclusion. both men and women in america are exposed to foreign cultures either through living in a major city connected to a port, through entertainment or through meeting people online. chemistry is bound to happen if you meet a foreign person you click with and dont mind the temporary border division

Good summary one thing about suscription gated articles, you can grab the link of said article and put it on the internet archive type of sites, like archive (dot) ph or archive (dot) org, thus you save a copy of the article for anyone in the internet + bypass the suscription fee blocking you from the article

I don't think the issue here is money. The issue probably is attitude. I don't know a single young woman, who would want to put up with QAnon crazies, MAGA chuds, trad-wife seekers or people who complain about woke video games.
