I've heard the opposite, particularly in the UK. American men are seen as more assertive, but that doesn't mean that UK nor European women are seeking American males. It's just the perspective.

Must be news to me. I'm Ukrainian born and raised and moved to the U.S. in 99' when I was 7. Yet, being "foreign born" never meant much to any of the women I've tried to date since then. Still doesn't right now.

Maybe cause I'm now "Americanized" but I'd chalk it up more to me not being the typical "RICH foreign men with sexy accents" that they're probably thinking of. Thing is, most foreign dudes do NOT want to date American women.

your priority is to first and foremost try to calm the person down, and only them try to lead them to think back and realize that they were hallucinating

I really think it is hopeless to speculate as to why this is happening. Maybe better to just ask the women?

My own personal feeling is that it's not so much men, rather the division in the country at the moment and the way that some states are reducing women's rights. That's not happening in Europe and it may well be a reason why some women want to leave.
