All the water on the planet follows a cycle. The water we have is all the water that will ever be. We are literally consuming the chemical byproducts of life that has existed for millenia, such a dinosaur pee, human excrement, or even liquified insects. The news some years back the anchors were acting all surprised that water had passed through people and animals many times already and that we were drinking it.
they tried making out it was a scandal.

What I knew about it was that water evaporates and then rains back down. What I didn't know about it that people ignore when they are exaggerating is that we have processing plants that skip that part.

So when people talk about how water has already been through biological processes, it's a bit alarming to know that it just went through that process yesterday and not centuries ago.

Also, it does increase the value in my mind for water that I know is sourced from a spring because that water has at least not been used as recently.

Also, people dump more than just human waste down toilets. Drugs and old prescriptions often illegally go into the toilet.

ocean fish dont really "pee" in the sence we mamals do. fish are surounded by water so they have 0 need to pee, the ecess salt just gets put in the poop or just filtered by the gills, same with the otehr trash a fish migth make. also the sea is salty cuz river deposite minerals into the ocean which acumulate and bocoem salty after a sertan threshhold.
