Name and shame question

I want to create a showcase on my profile where I link every scammers name and their perma id link. Would I get in trouble for that? Of course I'd only showcase profiles that actually tried to scam me.

What if I leave a comment on someone's profile?

I had a dude add me impersonating another user, so I left a comment on the REAL user with the scammers id and told them to watch out, is this an offense too?

My experience of moderators on Steam is do not address any issue yourself even if it is to help the other person. Contact Steam support and let them deal with it / not deal with it as they choose.

I know from personal experience how it feels to be deprived of justice and the fear of repercussion if caught trying to extract justice.

Society is cruel because it gives more rights to criminals than victims and then tells the victims to suck it up while smirking at the victim.

It is cruel to let victims suffer like this.

People who scam sometimes use compromised profiles with an actual persons information on it. The idea is if you get scammed, then blame the person based on the profile (which may belong to a victim), you're making matters worse.

If you don't want any issues, contact steam support (which might take days). If you like issues, go about it respectfully.

Nah, that's fine.

no... that's not fine, that's still naming and shaming by directing one to the other for the express purposes of naming and shaming. literally by the definition. now the real user is aware of this other person and will likely be reporting the other based on that which was put on that profile.

bruh "nameing and shameing" can be usefull but its banned because it can be used for harm as well as good.

Knowing how to recognize scams is far more valuable than knowing the names of scammers.
