Correct. Something that Reagan should have thought about before he threw away all negotiated trade agreements and threw open our door to any and all imports. The Rs still follow that policy. And 1/2 the Dems.
People are not part of that equation.
It's very much alive and well, if you are Asian, and it actually applies to everyone in America. But sadly many other groups of have started to larp like victims instead of actually taking advantage of it.
Damn, mark this post as answering the question.

And despite wanting to learn and contribute to society. That is ironically too expensive.
I'm doing this all with a disability, it's very disheartening. It's at this point where I just think I should just teach myself and attempt to freelance.
It's constantly suffocating, it's the best way I can put it. Everytime I've seeked medical help, or to educate myself. It's made me finicially worse off. At probably the most vital time in my life to take action to secure my future.
I'm not asking for a handout. I'm asking to be able to live.
Teach yourself there is nothing wrong with preparation and if you get into the education you wish to then you got some knowledge already.
I lost a job because I had booked time off for an appointment that takes over a year to get. Told the agency I need these two days off but otherwise I'll be happy to work at the placement they sent me (initially i was just doing them a favour to cover a few sick days and then the company wanted me onwards) .
Come the time to take off the agency and company got pissy with me and it was just stupid. I needed those appointments to verify i could keep working that kind of job and on future surgical operations.
Lost the job and got a bad mark for it even though initially i was doing them a favour for jumping in at short notice.
So for what its worth I know somewhat of what you mean.
