THAT Ted Talk about America
There was recently a TED Talk that blew up, far surpassing their videos' usual view counts of around 50k, reaching 3.2 million views in just 5 days. It also has quite a lot of interaction (likes, comments) for a video of its view count, and has sparked various discussions and reactions.

The Ted Talk discusses how young people in the US are worse off financially than ever before. What are everyone's thoughts on this?

When 80% of the economy is only services.
Who will deal with the raw materials and production of goods?

Correct. Something that Reagan should have thought about before he threw away all negotiated trade agreements and threw open our door to any and all imports. The Rs still follow that policy. And 1/2 the Dems.

So far the US has given Ukraine about $75 billion in aid to fight their cowboy and Indian war with Russia.

Just remember that next time you break down and cry because you can't afford groceries or pay your phone bill.

Imagine if that 75 billion went into creating jobs and helping our country, but that would make me a dirty socialist, right?
You are acting like the government was giving out money to people before the Ukraine invasion
The American Dream is dead. Boomers say Gen Z is lazy but they can't even afford houses.
The institutes live on selling goods.

People are not part of that equation.

It's been stated by Dr. Phil on a YouTube Statement
that People who work, only make about $1,000 more

It's very much alive and well, if you are Asian, and it actually applies to everyone in America. But sadly many other groups of have started to larp like victims instead of actually taking advantage of it.

The “free Palastine” graffiti at an Ivy League tells me all I need to know

That informed people know what has been happening for 70+ years?
No, it shows that any mentally stunted turkey can get to an Ivy League, which I assume is the name of the Pokemon League in Red/Purple version.

Here's how to actually fix the debt.
1.) Stop sending hundreds of billions to other countries.
...
3.) Priority in spending should be spending WITHIN America and for America's continued economic growth.
4.) Remove minimum wage. Let the real value of labor determine wages/salaries. Let small and medium sized businesses be competitive again.
...
FREE STUFF FREE STUFF until the government runs out of other people's money and collapses.
Damn, mark this post as answering the question.

2.) Food regulation to keep people from overconsuming and getting fat, which adds to the already bloated healthcare burden.
No, just abolish food stamps and subsidies. Bible says "those who do not work don't get to eat."
Things are getting more difficult but people don't want to make the temporary sacrifices necessary to improve their own situation. People have been given time. Recessions don't just happen overnight. The writing has been on the wall for decades. It is no one else's fault it's gone largely ignored by swaths of people with their head down in their entertainment of choice.

I agree 100% with his talk. My family struggles with poverty. Me getting an education has made it worse.

And despite wanting to learn and contribute to society. That is ironically too expensive.

I'm doing this all with a disability, it's very disheartening. It's at this point where I just think I should just teach myself and attempt to freelance.

It's constantly suffocating, it's the best way I can put it. Everytime I've seeked medical help, or to educate myself. It's made me finicially worse off. At probably the most vital time in my life to take action to secure my future.

I'm not asking for a handout. I'm asking to be able to live.

Teach yourself there is nothing wrong with preparation and if you get into the education you wish to then you got some knowledge already.

I lost a job because I had booked time off for an appointment that takes over a year to get. Told the agency I need these two days off but otherwise I'll be happy to work at the placement they sent me (initially i was just doing them a favour to cover a few sick days and then the company wanted me onwards) .

Come the time to take off the agency and company got pissy with me and it was just stupid. I needed those appointments to verify i could keep working that kind of job and on future surgical operations.

Lost the job and got a bad mark for it even though initially i was doing them a favour for jumping in at short notice.

So for what its worth I know somewhat of what you mean.
