you're describing the songwriting process they and almost everyone after 1969 almost certainly did with my garbage.

as well as a certain unnamed individual's garbage, and other members of our bands' garbage. (i was very emotionally connected with my garbage so I tend to see mine first.)

why I'd practically consider illegal concepts just to hear our treatment of chantilly lace again. or the other songs the industry suppressed, like the buddy holy one they gave to weezer (it was about him kidnapping and tying his wife up in the basement then beating her every night, which she was intimidated out of pursuing in court by being thrown down stairs by record execs.)

also we were very active acros the timeline so 1969 isn't really a hard cutoff for someone stealing our work.

also several of uss beleive in collective songwriting and played major roles in folk scenes, so the musical culture will always wind up on us like a broken clock anyway.
