the song is not chinese. it is not "chinese music".
What the hell are you going on about? You arent the OP
do you know what the missing part of the translation means?

"yiya yi zhi you wei ya er ya zhi you a"?

I guess it kinda sounds similar in a way...
also I love how the translations of the CCP national anthem censor the part after "the masses stand up to be the owners"...

what does "yiya yi zhi you wei ya er ya zhi you a" mean?

What, they censored it??? What the heck!?

Well there is a YouTube video where Spongebob sings this song and it has full translations with it on screen.

I think that part says "Oh we thank them, oh we thank them".

By the way the Spongebob version is really good! :)

edit: the same part actually, it seems... there seems to be a tag line they don't want translated...

And they replaced that line with the line mentioned before?

Yeah I don't know, I guess they did in fact censor it for whatever reason...

"咿呀咿吱呦喂呀而呀吱呦啊" is just scatting/meaningless sounds.

You can tell when Chinese characters represent sounds and not words because they often have a square 口 on the left, as most of the ones this sentence do.

咿: chirp
吱: squeak
呦: ooh
喂: yo
而: and

Oh, then I wonder why the english translations changed it...

so the CCP anthem just has a random verse that's like "chirp squeak oh ya chirp squeak oh oh ya"?

you don't give english-speaking folks much credit do you?

edit: unless it is literally a ripoff of rasputin and they didn't know how to represent the intramental pat with words?

It sounds ridiculous when translated to English, and that's why nobody bothered to translate it. "Hey ho hey ho yo yo la de da" is about as close as you can get in English probably.
ya, I mean that kinda just makes it seem more like a ripoff of rasputin... like they actually included the "ho ha who he hoo ha" part.

Quite sure this Chinese song came first and that adding "scatting" to a song doesn't automatically make a ripoff of something. In any case, there's no "super secret hidden lyrics" that everyone is too scared to translate, it's just nonsensical sounds. :)
I'm not sure when that song came about TBH.. but I'm sure the CCP will claim it was before 1979.

and I can't imagine the chinese invented "scatting"....

Most translations I see just translate it to the Pinyin Chinese translations cause well, you can't really translate it :')

Ah I see. Makes sense then!

Considering Mao died in 1976 it's very likely it was made before 1979 yes.......
wow, isn't that just a coincidence that it was around the same time.

I mean, for all I know it was a chinese original and boney M ripped off the CCP.

That would be ironic!

I mean it's the CCP we're talking about...

"i want to run away but i can't"

or i guess that's what i get from translating it.

the song is so emotional and it's used on a clip of barbers using dangerous tools to do the job
