Indeed -- OP is suggesting a (un)realistic scenario where all teachers are very (mentally) balanced individuals. Which is a fallacy.

I am the OP and I never posted a comment in this thread about any mentality of teachers nor suggested that this new law allowing teachers to carry guns is a good or bad law.

The comments about teachers with guns are posted by others who give their opinion about teachers with guns.

I meant more someone to does firearms education...

tho I guess this bares defining what one means by "teachers with guns"... like teachers who happen to own firearms and go hunting and such, or teachers carrying a handgun to defend the class?

cuz like back when I was a kid some of the teachers would casually talk about hunting with students... so I imagine they had guns...

I guess it's still slightly better than Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene claiming the mass shootings at school where faked/staged to try get rid of the "precious" American guns right, while also spewing QAnon conspiracy theories and wanting to put a bullet in the head of people who voiced differently.

She is quite the oxymoron, but that actually happened.

Her lot and Trump should make their own political party and state what exactly they are and that is 'elitists supporting each other the world over to screw with everybody else party' .

People voted them in and defend their decisions and the actions of these harmful people.

The only constitutional party for actual Americans not from Karen Island.


Fact is guns were common in schools until the progressives warped society to the point where social trust broke down, and now you need to disarm people to hide your shame, that your favored path is a broken society, that your ideology is moral corruption.

Gun free zones don't work, all the left did was ensure shooters had the most desirable free fire zones.

Any teachers with concealed carry could be anonymous.

It works because such criminals are cowards, any chance at opposition ruins their fun.

You may as well claim air marshal's are there just to arm terrorists.

But isn´t committing some kind of crime which is visible to anybody - like shooting someone with a gun - in a school - as clever as going into a police station to commit a crime? Anybody can identify You.

One should educate the people that this is not a good idea. They would need to do it before or after school, when they can hide between the masses at some spot where nobody knows them. Like who goes to work, where everybody knows You - to harm the people there? You could as well ask at the prison if they have a room for You to stay.

And if it doesn´t work like that in the U.S. - i would rather recommend to work on the basics first, before doing the advanced stuff.

ONLY if they're properly trained (including a thorough background check) and are of legal residence of the US, and if they use them properly to defend & protect the innocent and to promptly neutralize the threat... It would save lives when it can be utilized correctly.
They're not just a weapon, but a powerful tool that requires skill and great responsibility.
