As long as we don't watch Tik Tok much, we'll have the better attention span vs the normies
They are canceling it to stop the flow of information and freedom of speech.
I know, and youtube shorts are still here to destroy attention spans of people that watch them.
We just have to remember, not to watch them much.
Basically, the brain is wired a different way, and certain areas don't work as intended, making us have difficulties paying attention to something that's not interesting for us, while making us hyperfocus on something that we find interesting (amongst others things).
Ergo, a bit of a pain in the backside. Your mind never shuts up.
Indeed, we must give our enemies Tik Tok.
Tik Tok aside
I hope those who truly have ADD/ADHD are able to cope
I also hope all who have been diagnosed and treated for ADD/ADHD will get a second and even a third opinion / diagnosis from a professional expert on this type of condition.
I suspect many who have been diagnosed and treated for ADD/ADHD have been victimised by a system that profits from big pharma selling meds.
Just because a child has too much energy for school teachers to deal with does not mean the child needs to me chemically medicated to make the job easier for the teacher.
It stands to reason that the public education system is biased against children who are just being children.
It's sad that children are forced to fall inline, sit still, and robbed of a proper childhood, especially boys.
Not all children learn by reading books and conforming to a rigged structure that is indoors in a stuffy classroom lacking fresh air or sunlight.
Some children learn better by practical engagement than books and writing papers. It's even worse if such children are robbed of their after school time by being forced to do 3 to 4 hours of homework every day.
Let the children play..... Not medicate them into compliance
Tiktok has nothing to do with that, also Tiktok nowadays does not only have short content
... I need a new condition for this week...
I’m proud to say that I’ve never installed TikTok in my life (nothing wrong with anyone who did, though!) but YouTube shorts used to catch my attnetnion quite a lot before my friend showed me how to block them with UBlock origin.
In my personal opinion, and sorry for this controversial take, short form content like TikToks and Instagram reels have simply just made a comfort that was already wanted even easier to attain- the comfort of escapism. A lot of people, from anecdotal evidence of mine, pull out their phones for a quick escape from reality, a shot of dopamine that short form content satisfies.
Too much of anything can be bad, even things considered healthy like reading, because then you would be solely escaping from reality. Now we have companies fighting for our attention spans, and the world is getting more and more distracting, with our attentions being pulled in every which direction. Let’s all find solace in focusing on the little things in life that make our lives ours!
