With the current instability in the world, nuclear threats are back!

Do you fear nuclear armageddon or have you made your peace?

If a nuke happens my brain's molecules will be spread across a file mile radius and won't be able to comprehend fear.
If its close but not too close and I survive then its going to be a very bad day, probably filled with pain and coughing up lungs or NEW organs. Fear would still be the last thing on my mind.

No the world is all connected now, if anyone decides to launch a nuke/hydrogen bomb they are not only dooming the target country but their own country would be severely impacted (not talking about return fire) I’m talking about the economy downfall

We as the world are too reliant on each other it’s not like it was in the “old” days

Man, if a bomb blows up here. I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥ anyway. Might as well enjoy the show. :dealwithit:

Nah dude I'll just make a fallout necklace out of my fallout teeth then, a fallout pillow out of my fallout hair. You have to stay positive, right. Commenting about how someone looks "glowing" then will hit different though.

Here is a relevant song(No, not the Weird Al one everyone was thinking about):

Talks of nuclear flashes, etc.
Obviously a parody and its from that newer TV version of Battlestar Galactica.
Enjoy!

geographically speaking, i would say it's very unlikely. no, the whole world is not going to end that way.

No. It's not like it was during the 60s, 70s, and 80s, where one mistake could have ended mankind.

There always will be that risk- but nowhere near what it was during the cold war.

There were 3 presidents confirmed to be drunk and/or on meth(1 on steroids) who had to be physically restrained by their defense secretaries from attempting to launch.

There also were documented cases in which incidents such as misreads on early warning systems nearly lead to disaster.

Once WMDs were invented this became an issue that will never go away 100%.

The benefit is since the advent of the atomic bomb no major powers have gone directly to war. There have been all sorts of smaller wars, civil wars, proxy wars...- but no world war or world powers going into direct conflict since then.

Then keep in mind that people frequently fail to understand that fusion(the H bomb) is 100 times the power of splitting the atom. We saw the devastation of 2 atomic bombs. A nuclear war simply cannot be fought. Even with a successful first strike- enough of those would be enough to kill those who launched them from the radiation and fallout.

Nah, I grew up during the Cold War. I used to be fascinated by the concept of nuclear war, used to read about it, watch movies about it. Even dream about it sometimes.

Putin said he would use nukes under certain circumstances(probably had to do with the Ukraine effort).
Which is why we need to restore our own nuke madman to keep him(them both) in check.

no, I fear the wars and atrocities the specter of the nuclear bomb will be used to commit.

He does a ton of saber rattling- but with him there is no information- only disinformation.

I'll be safe from the immediate fireworks but the nuclear winter will be hard and the refugees.
