are games boring now ?
when i was younger i enjoyed playing games. but somehow it feels now boring when i start playing games they are fun. but after the intro of the game later in the game it gets boring and dull. just started playing horizon zero dawn and the game is beautiful and are fun to some extent but somehow i feel that it gets boring after you start to hack animals so you can ride them. it just feels off its was the same for me also when playing bioshock infinite it played the main story then i was gonna play the dlc content but it feelt forced and for me it got boring. i just dont want to continue playing .. i play now like 10 min everyday some 30 min but i always feel unmotivated to play further then that.. am i distracted by other things or do anybody feel the same way with some games ?

Everything is boring now. The world is designed to actively drain the life out of you, therefore you have to manufacture your own fun or it simply will not happen.

Some games are still good. Just don't play Gollum or Diablo 4

Stop telling people what to play. That's part of the problem: YouTubers, streamers, and random people telling people what to play and not play when everyone is fully capable of doing the research themselves. It takes 5 to 15 minutes to watch footage of a game to come to one's own conclusion, and the two-hour return period exists.

As we grow older, our priorities do change, and so do change our interest in regards our experiences in the previous years of our lives.
It's only natural to find a specific game genre or specific kinds of gameplays boring after all those years.. So, you do find new things you do enjoy to occupy your mind during your free time, just like you may find different ways of how to relax.

Take a break from gaming?

I'm currently playing rdr2 (red dead redemption 2) and I'm having a blast. I'll also play UT black capture the flag, death match and have fun.

Stop telling me what to tell people, you're a part of the problem. Gollum was a disgraceful crime and Blizzard sucks.

The games you named are quite entertaining, so maybe you're just burned out? That's what happened to me as I grew older, but giving up on playing daily and taking longer breaks reignited the passion.

I started way back on the NES. I don't think all of it is just the process of aging (I won't say growing out of it, because gaming is a hypnotic medium which depends on age and context of first exposure), games have gradually become more and more soulless. To reflect the era of emptiness, soullessness, and aimlessness. Meh, I don't know. The way the arc and the whole gaming concept was supposed to end for me was making my own and then moving on. That never happened and I can't really replicate that place and time, so oh well. Either way I stopped playing games like 10 years ago for the most part, can't say I miss it. I have a lot of thoughts on this but it doesn't really matter.
