Technically, yes. Shrimps are a distant relative from insects. Which means that shrimps are in fact bugs. Mostly referred as Sea bugs too.

So one is not a bug because it has a shell (bugs have shells too) and the other is a bug because it has segmented legs (crabs have segmented legs too).

I remember the time when I was an itty baby my dad thought it would be a good idea to remove the rubber bands off of the lobster and let the lobster pitch him because he believed it wouldn’t hurt. Good times….. and yes… he still has his finger.
