I assure you most Belgians do not know how to speak German. German might be an official language, but very few actually speak it and at the national/federal level, if you were to ask an official to speak German to you because it's the only language you know, they will use DeepL or Google Translate.

And Walloons mostly refuse to learn Dutch, they rather would stay in their French bubbles instead.

Nothing, in principal. Just emphasizing the fact that many Belgians don't actually speak all 3 or even 2 of the 3 national languages of their countries.
