Use NewPipe instead. You don't get all of the features but it is open-source and ad-free. And you do get some features which you would need YouTube Premium for, like background playback.
Never heard of it, I'll check it out.
Is it safe to use/log on google account on?

i don't even remember a time when i didn't have it.

i bet many who don't use it, don't really understand what its for. sure, it blocks ads but most importantly it keeps you safe. its for protection.

edit: uBlock Origin with FireFox is the best for sure.

You can't. It's also account-free.

The ad-based internet is a malignant tumor in dire need of the most severe chemotherapy.

Like what is even the point? Are there actually people who are stupid enough to click on that ♥♥♥♥? Whenever I see an ad, especially annoying ones, it makes me hate that company a bit more every time. It makes me avoid them, not buy their products.

It does NOT matter if you click on an ad or not ..
if it pops up on your screen, it already is on your PC ..

Cookies works the same but are less "harmful" ..

imagine a TV channel and Internet without advertisement,
to try and avoid ad would mean to avoid modern society altogether, is it true?
ad blocker helps avoid small rash, as for the big ones, from eyes in the sky, the rash is only getting bigger.

It just needs a simple HTML code of a few lines and website providers know everything about your machine, gain same output as the "DxDiag" command, your used resolutions, PLUS additional info from which websites your are coming from and leaving/going to ..

And with cookies saved/stored on your PC they even gather more and more, more infos about you to sell to China ..

I made such HTML code myself few years ago. All that gained info was processed in our start-up company .. instead sold to China .. simple HTML "dot trackers" ..

Today it is even more easier to hide such tracking code ..

For example, if you visited a pr0n site and then enter your companie's website afterwards, your company exactly knows who you are and from which site you are coming from ..

as easy as that ..

it is not a hidden and highly encrypted NSA code, nor a CIA, nor a FBI code ... it is a simple public HTML code written in a few lines ..

so it is urgent to kill all cookies and to block ads at all costs .. a first step for privacy ..

these mentioned Webkit and Blink engines i was showing you before are able to circumvent all security and privacy stuff to FORCE ads on you, to FORCE cookies on you ..

Mozilla and its Firefox Browsers use an own and a way different engine, the Quantum Engine. It is the only company which supports privacy .. as mentioned before ..

ALL OTHER BROWSERS, no matter how they are called, use the Blink engine for Windows and the Webkit Engine aka the ROOT KIT engine for your crApple devices ..

pff..

and if you havent known yet, Alphabet and Meta are in war with Mozilla .. They try everything to force ads on you whenever you vist YouTube for example .. they are about to decide to block your connection completely whenever you enter an Alphabet or Meta site via Firefox and/or through the Quantum Engine ..

Pretty much. Only when you are de-desensitized to it, you will start to realize how extreme it really is. Any normal ad segment is a crazy, hyper-invasive attack on the senses and the mind. And even without those there's ads everywhere and they all use the lowest manipulation tactics imaginable. There's even a thing now called "neuromarketing", and those businessy people will just love it and never worry about how dirty that is.

I can't say I am very worried about that. I just hate ads and I don't want to see them. Big Data, like ads, is also everywhere and it is pretty hard to avoid. Even your bank account, assuming you have a single one which you use for everything, makes it incredibly easy to profile you. And then you have social media, loyalty discount cards in material shops, smart home devices, it goes on and on.
N3tRunn3r Apr 8, 2024 @ 12:01am
I have never had ANY social accounts, besides Steam and back in the days MySpace ..

I dont even own a gmail account, nor WhatsApp. My Android devices work through one of my MSN accounts .. and I securely chat through them via Signal ..

gmail and whatsapp have hidden options, especially gmail, to track you down via GPS .. you need to find that "hidden" option "online", not through your smartphone, to disable it .. this hidden "feature" was silently added on anytime last year ..

and whatsapp saves your chats for 30 days since last year in summer .. if you write anything wrong, hello FBI .. this "short" message in whatsapp popped up for once before its forced auto-update applied and you have never seen this again ..

there is a longer FAQ about this whatsapp change which highly contradicts and exists to confuse .. especially the EU version, as whatsapp successfully circumvented an EU law after months of arguing .. last year in summer ..
