Long Covid is ruining me
Any "kung flu" survivors here?

I hate this - I'm only in my thirties and my body feels like its falling apart after catching the same virus that killed my aunt on Christmas year before last.

I was never the fittest or strongest in the world, but 5 years ago I could lift 2 bags of cement over my shoulders and go up a 20ft ladder carrying them. Dangerous maybe, but needs must when a DIY job has to be done.

Now, I can't even pick up my weekly groceries from the local store without my wrists and joints exploding with pain.

I guess try to get something for the spike proteins. Not too much else I know of that one can do.
Yeah, I just prayed to Jesus. Felt a little feverish, low-energy, and achy, then got better after 3 days and only had to deal with some mild throat congestion for a couple more weeks.

Jesus obviously doesn't like you, covid was quite mild and only lasted a few hours for me. And I didn't pray to anything.

You feel like your body is falling apart because you're in your thirties and probably haven't been staying active. That isnt "long covid," it's called aging.

well for me its nothing new - i had this effect already somewhere in the youth, bec. it can basicly happen with every flu, not only new covid variant. so yes, welcome to the dessert of the real world <3

Try observing the sabbath, every quarter moon. That is when Jesus heals.
As for potential remedies there is probably lots you can try. Nothing will be silver bullet.
But definitely focus on your health. Drink lots of *clean water.
I was working with someone who was triple dosed and boosted. He had knee pain when working. Oddly enough The knee pain spread to me while working with him, but it just went away when I stopped working with him.
If it's your joints and it actually has to do with covid. It's likely tendon areas, not the actual joints. Going to want to do some gentle stretching and rolling of muscles with lots and lots of water. Get a rolling pin or similar device and roll out the effected joints.

i drink calcium and magnesium additionally and it kinda works a bit for regenerating bones n´ muscles for sports reasons <3

I never got the shots and got COVID. I'm assuming all the variants. I work at a school and I get sick all the time.

Did not get "long COVID"

I do have allergies so I have to take an antihistamine most of the year. But that happened before COVID. You can get allergies as you grow older. Could that be what happened to you? Maybe your allergies set in around the same time COVID happened.

Could it be you damaged some cartilage from your "DIY projects" and now your knees and wrists hurt when you use them? You could probably ask a doctor about it.

A suggestion is to learn HTML / CSS / Javascript

It will give something to build on over time anything of interest to you and you can display and write about it in a good presentation.

with javascript you can make the page interactive if you wish or you can even build your own games on the browser it is a skill and it takes time so its an ongoing accomplishment.

Looks like you'll have to innovate now, use a rope and pulley system or something.
This is why machines were invented.

Dude, did you just tell me "Learn to code" after I tell you my sob story?

My job is an office one with Javascript to keep legacy systems from the f**king 70s running in the modern era. I was giving you a real-life example of my physical fitness before and after the pandemic.

Either you didn't bother to read what I said, or you wanted to share that "holier-than-thou Christian outlook" of yours with me.

While I would refute this as 30s isn't old, my father built a house in his 50s, my grandfather in his 70s, you may have a point about the inactivity. I caught the escaped lab virus after a long sojourn from the lockdown. 24 months of little exercise may have contributed to this.

Geez, if that's the case, once you start going to the gym, you can never ever stop. If you ever do, your body starts wasting away.

This is quite true. I stopped for 6 months last year and had somewhere between 15 and 20lbs of muscle break down into fat. All the drinking and smoking probably didn't help, but muscle power and brain power is "use it or lose it".

I have lost the fat again now, going from 24.5% to 13.9%, but now I have to bulk to regain the muscle. I feel kind of light and weak at 178lbs with a 209lb benchpress.

1. I do not know you or your occupation
2. You seemed down so I gave an example of a long term project to work on

There is nothing holier than thou going on in my response it was a suggestion because Long Covid can affect people in many different ways and me giving any medical suggestions would be potentially dangerous.

So I assumed you may have wanted a suggestion that was not medical.

- speaking from someone who has had serious injuries / life , death hanging in balance from injuries and illness.
