It can be fun if you do it in moderation. I used to go into a casino with a set amount of money to spend and when it was gone I was as well.

I only hit big one time (not all that lucky when it comes to gambling) and at least I have that one time to say I did great there once. Now I no longer go to casinos at all.

It is simply not viable for me under the current administration running the U.S. right now. Money is tight and you have to spend it wisely.

That's not gambling; that's a gambling-themed resort.

Casinos rig the games, and only play games where player skill is negligible.

Might as well draw the comparison between moba/gatcha and casinos, except casinos have less rng and more failstates.

I usually play roulette playing 1:2 or 1:1 odds. I've gained more than I've lost though I can't be sure I will win.

Can't stand card games.

Heard theres a technique for blackjack. I think they kicked Elon Musk out of a casino for 'counting the cards'.

There was some article about how roulette can be defeated but it seems like you need a large team and a lot of comms hardware, computers....

I won at craps 50 times in a row, so I don't outside of video games. In which case, I prefer blackjack. If other people want to gamble then by all means let them do so. If you get addicted though, then seek help for your sickness and then remember to never gamble again.

Also, don't gamble with money you don't have nor with more than you're willing to lose. That's common sense.

So always set yourself a limit how much money you would like to spend (lose), . . .
and by exceeding this limit, go home . . .

For example your mind needs to be like this ::
I have 500 EUR saved, this is my limit, and I want to "spend" this "this month".
Winning or losing is not important, however, winning would be preferable.

And addtionally, your odds highly depend on which game you play. Poker, which Poker, BlackJack, Roulette, . . . each game also has their own strategies and tactics, rules and especially "skills" . . .

ALWAYS set yourself a limit, go home by exceeding this limit !!
ALWAYS think to "spend" your limit, rather than to "make" money, either you lose or win !!

It's a relative thing.

If you have the money it isn't a big deal.

I don't spend much. Stopped for years and they put a machine in the food store so now I get a mega autopick for $2 once a week.

My neighbor was doing some clean out last week and saw a lottery ticket. He said he doesn't spend much just $15................a day.

I just had to wonder at what point he would consider it a problem?

I have met people who could see the future and would get lottery numbers. He wouldn't gamble himself, gambling places keep lists of people who win too much.

He worked in a warehouse and his lifestyle was a bit above the others there. Other workers would tell me people would just hand him money. None of my business.

One day he comes up to me and tells me to play a number I normally played and tells me to play it that day.

I should have bet more but was cautious. I won. I asked him about it and he just said he has a dream/vision of a face with a number. Having others pay him on the side was his way of keeping the whole thing on the down low. A dangerous skill to have if people find out.

It's entertainment and should be treated as such. Don't go in with the mindset that you'll win big (because you won't), and give yourself a budget you won't overrun. That way you can have fun gambling without accidentally dropping 17k in the heat of the moment
