The house always wins.
Gambling between people?
Go for it, just make sure everybody knows the terms of the bet and the rules of the sport / act that is being gambled on.
My legal guardians did it all the time while I was growing up.
Scratchcards like every night
Hand-held LCD poker games during commercials
Lotto on the tv
They also rarely went to race tracks or states with casinos. And many weekends My guardians and people they know came over for poker, like texas hold em. Theres also Left, Right, Center.
They thought gambling was fun, even if they didn't win. And wouldn't hear of me stopping them doing it.
We didn't have a lot of money, so I'd always tell them like "If you just saved the money up, you'd have so much money. All these things we want to do, don't happen because you gamble it away."
My big bro he went to disneyland, grand canyon, etc. Me who came around many years later, got to sit home while they went to las vegas or horsetracks.
I agree with the saying "The lottery is a tax on the poor". And I don't gamble, hardly ever. Besides theres more important things one can gamble than money, like one's life. Thats a more thrilling gamble.
My guardians and their friends did scratch cards for years upon year upon years. And just nada. Horrible odds, low payouts. A lot of time if you won, it was the price of the ticket. And then you go use that to get a new ticket and lose.
Before MTG reprinted stuff, it could be fun watching people pull a black lotus.
I don't have to gamble myself, if I want that high I can go watch someone else in a video win.
