Although Resurrectiond was a mess, it definitely had some interesting philosophical quotes and musings.

All we mostly get in cinemas nowadays is recycled corporate drivel.

The Matrix is a franchise is Warner Bros, the same as Middle Earth, Harry Potter, and Batman.

That's the deal when you get in bed with these large corporations.

I can't remember but either the games or the animatrix that had real content that continued the story between the movies.

I don't hope anything about movies these days. That writer is a tool. I loved the martian, but the guy can't write a book. Influences from the matrix came from shows and movies like Ghost in the Shell (an anime) and Akira (an anime). If you haven't seen ghost in the shell. watch the movie. if you like that, go watch the dozens of episodes from the tv show in japenese with english subtitles. if you haven't seen akira. like who are you?

What's needed right now is talk about our future. I'm being serious here, like the matrix is my fav movie, watched it so many times i can recite the entire script from memory. But movies today are action packed tasteless wet paper designed to get everyone to watch, but nobody to remember it.

I don't know what happened in Matrix 4 cause I'll never watch it. I've seen multiple people call it the worst movie they ever seen in their life and it was intentionally bad. Just more tasteless paper. I say screw it and just do something we need instead of something WB wants to make money or something the writer/director need to better their career by focusing more on the audience than your job. I say that cause if Matrix 5 mentions things I need to know from Matrix 4, then I'll never watch another matrix. I don't pre-order, so I'll wait for the reviews to tell me if it's good or bad.



The story. Is this going to be something we still think about being relevant in 20 years?
Our future.That's what needs to be discussed. If there's robots that rule the world, then why not go back in time before The Matrix, show the real world more and the matrix less? If the writer is good, they can make anything happen. Show how robots slowly gained control. Show how we became robots. Show how those we trusted took advantage of us.

I believe the closest to tell the story is Westworld Season 3. I completely forgot Season 4 is out. spoilers Basically there's some AI/AGI that used all of the data we ever allowed to be public and with that it sells our info to all companies which determine our health insurance premium prices, our bank loan rates, what job we'll have for the rest of our life, you name it. Some of those things I mentioned are already being done today. Not spoiling. You should watch it.

Need a story that people can relate with. That in 10, 20 years when the stuff starts happening. Something sits uncomfortable with them. Makes them uncomfortable. To the point where they stand up and change our fate to not become the fat people in Wall*E.
