But it is, they own both of em
I think MS is fine with how Fallout 4 did. Just because FO1&2 fans hate 3 and 4, doesn't mean that MS has anything they think they need to "repair".
fallout 1 was meh, new vegas was -1/10 almost as unplayable as oblivion is on modern pcs (Also played oblivion when it was new and it wasn't great, shivering island dlc though 9/10)
fallout itself is... fine i guess. i had to play the original to get the feels tho.
they're only there to profit from the stuff already in place.
they're trying to do what tencent does. i think its working.
most people pay more for MTX in old games than they do for new full size games. and everyone wonders why game quality is getting lower lol
I mean, a game where there is no sound for your villagers being attacked ? That is bad.
I mean, you still receive the alarm sounds for battles that ARE ON YOUR SCREEN, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN.
I mean, hover over your town before returning to the battle and enjoy listening to cows for the next 20 FULL seconds, because sounds are "queued" like that and you "triggered" 15 farm sounds while passively hovering over your town.
So. Microsoft. Fixing anything. Yeah, if you are ok with being a beta tester for the rest of your natural life, because they cannot be bothered to test things before release. The meme "it's not a bug, it's a feature", it comes from Microsoft of old, and never, ever denied that meme statment.
They might impose new DRMs and install a bunch of backdoors, though.
The original ES1: Arena was so notoriously buggy that even today, efforts to remaster or remake it don't go anywhere, and Daggerfall gets all the attention. It's sad.
I've heard the source code was actually lost.
If you miss older games you can try wasteland series.
