Lets stop companies from killing games. (HOW YOU CAN HELP)
https://youtu.be/w70Xc9CStoE
In the link below, is a step by step guide in your country for how you can make a seeable dent through the law
https://stopkillinggames.com

We consumers and lovers of games can give them hell, we can own our games.
If you own The Crew, you can contact Ubisoft now, tell them to fix the game.
We can make the difference in demanding that the games we own work. As it is our right as those who bought it. This is one step to a greater cause, if you own The Crew you can file complaints, you do have a voice.

"Lets stop light bulb companies from selling light bulbs that don't light" is the situation here.

I don't think that you can force / convince somebody to do better than they are doing on their own will, the best thing you can do is to stop giving them your support, stop giving them your money, stop giving them anything that they do not deserve anymore.
If enough people will do that then those companies will get what they deserve eventually, if not then those who keep paying to get this woke crap filles with anti consumer scams will keep getting what they deserve.
There is no need to keep buying the most recent games, if the most recent games are just garbage made available (not even actually sold, just "made available") in the most anticonsumer ways possible and people keep paying to play them it's just those people's fault, the fun thing is that they are giving themselves the punishment they deserve lol.
Petitions are useless.
Just find better games to play, it's not that hard and at this point so many of them are practically, "functionally", "DRM free" lol :steamhappy: give those companies what they deserve.

I've basically accepted that one day the only way I can own games, is I make them myself or play retro

When games are 100% streamed, its my time to think of dipping out.

"Let's petition the government."

I'm not even going to comment on that.

BUT HERE THE THING

I honestly believe one day we will not own even our computers. Windows will be streamed to the pc not just to collect a monthly feee, collect user data for selling, but for A.I. censorship.

The problem is there are lots and lots of people who will keep giving money to the powerful and bloated and do not know of actual good gaming experiences beyond what is in effect just candy for the brain to easily process.

My kind of games that I make require thinking and reflex to get rewards but people do not really want that they do not want to achieve in games they want to be showered with gold coinage and stars and rainbows for doing nothing beyond mediocrity at best and anything a baboon could learn to do anyway given bit of training and time.

You think the government is just going to allow anyone to avoid censorship with linux? That windows isn't going to lobby with all its money to fix the problem.

What are you going to run linux off if your pc is just a reciever with no SSD? Or a one too small for linux. Or an ssd that only contains windows with a system to self destruct if changed. Or if the internet is changed to refuse to connect to linux pcs for security issues.

Or they do take downs of any website hosting linux files. And fines.

Or the AI simply knows its linux and refuses to install it and reports you to the police

I'm not saying don't try to fight to own your stuff. I'm just saying, I don't think we'll win.

Because we are moving towards people own nothing as they say "You'll own nothing and be happy"

Im just gonna stop you right there and say this.

The day that they "stop" linux from doing anything at all will be the biggest legal battle in history and Id love to see them succeed in that. You cant just stop a company or system from doing its thing. I dont know what pretend world you live in but it doesnt work that way. The moment that happens a ♥♥♥♥ ton of legal liberties are going to be broken, furthermore it would be supporting corporate expansion and domination. The government might be big bad, but they arent windows ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Mass majority of them will use such systems, If you really think they need to take down linux to accomplish that you really dont know what you are talking about, the FBI gives zero ♥♥♥♥♥ if you use linux or windows. The reality is they have access to it all and can track us all no matter what we use. Id argue in most situations for good reason. It truly does stop many bad people. but the whole shutting linux down argument makes no sense, from a buisness model what I am saying is we will always have the choice to get the hell away fro predatory buisness practices.
