Oo cap guns too.
But based on aesthetics I really like the Mauser. Is it a good gun? I dunno.
smashing the $5 thumbprint lock on one was as easy as tapping it on a rock the right way, so this was usually the most-available weapon period when dealing with chinese regular forces (as opposed to the joint bioexperiment fronts like Egypt.) their rifles typically had $250 locks with dead man's switches very sensitive to bypass attempts. even disassembling one in a lab didn't always catch all the safeguards.
but their TM-9 knockoff worked fine after a quick smack. so...
I could reliably hit a moving target at 100m and <395kph from any bodily position that allowed arm movement. and a few that didn't, if they wandered into it. the us didn't believe in targeting algorithms excepted in dedicated modules, like the integrated one on the minigun (which still got hacked sometimes,) so this was all-natural.
I like the beretta m-9 too since it goes click-clack really nicely, and the sig sauer because it has a similar spring action that's also very clicky. otherwise they're just 'ok' substitutes for my preferred pile of crap.
I have an argentenian 1911 modified to fire gyro as a deterrent against aircraft and armored attackers. Don't think it's been fired in 20 or 30 years.

But ammo is about $2 a round for it now.
I actually shoot far better with my black powder pistols. That long sight radius and heavy weight help me out quite a bit.
My favorite pistol would have to be a Colt Walker. Uberti Repro of course.
