Not just "a" game. A lot of JRPGs have great diversity -- since they are usually party-based, adding people from different backgrounds into that party gives the games a bunch of notably distinct characters to work with.

It's almost like gamers don't have a problem with diversity. They have a problem with forced diversity where it doesn't make sense. Tell new and diverse stories. Don't retcon existing stories.
