The goal of Mancala is to capture more stones than your opponent.
### Setup:
1. **Board:** Mancala is played on a board with two rows of six pits each and a larger store (or mancala) at each end.
2. **Stones:** Each of the 12 small pits starts with four stones.
### Basic Rules:
1. **Starting the Game:** Players decide who goes first, usually by a random method.
2. **Gameplay:**
- On your turn, pick up all stones from one of your pits on your side of the board.
- Distribute the stones one by one into the pits in a counterclockwise direction, including your own store but skipping your opponent's store.
3. **Capturing Stones:**
- If the last stone you place lands in an empty pit on your side and there are stones in the opposite pit, you capture all stones from the opposite pit and the stone you placed.
- All captured stones are moved to your store.
4. **Extra Turn:**
- If the last stone you place lands in your store, you get an extra turn.
5. **End of Game:**
- The game ends when all six pits on one side of the board are empty.
- The player who still has stones on their side of the board moves all remaining stones to their store.
6. **Winning the Game:**
- The player with the most stones in their store at the end of the game wins.
