We do not need to go to the bed topics when talking about kink-shaming the brits. They "exist", and that's providing an endless supply of reasons to shame them.

I think that violence and "abuse", even when it is somehow "fake" like in bdsm relationships, should at least not be considered socially acceptable and no it should not be allowed but of course behind the closed doors of their home people should be free to do what they want, as much as I hate BDSM privacy and freedom at least in your home is still the most important thing imho.
I think that this kind of kink, both sadism and masochism, are mental illnesses except the masochists are the only ones who pay the price of it, and it does not matter if they are willing to do so it is still like exploiting the problem of a person to do something which is basically evil.
This kind of behaviour is unacceptable and should always be unacceptable imo. As I said privacy and freedom are the most important priorities so I don't want people to be spied 24 / 7 just to make sure that they don't do this kind of things, no this would be even worse, but generally speaking this kind of things should be condemned and not be perceived as acceptable. If those people cannot be cured at least the safety and dignity of the weaker, most vulnerable side (the masochgists) should be protected.

maybe not officially legal like it is in USA, germany or UK but probably still legal in theory in most places, there are simply no recent court rules to define the legal status at most places but its likely that they wont rule against it
