Words outta my mouth
Unfortunately, I still see people engage with it like they're talking to sentient individuals
You can get nuance in smaller groups where everyone generally knows everyone else, but not here
I basically said this in another thread- it's good to know that it's not everybody
Want it to go away? Stop making so many laws/movies/shows by women, about women and for women. Complaints will instantly stop. We can all have a space. Entertainment has infinite room.
I'm not saying these things can't exist. They can and should. However, men would also like to see positive representation. Which has become rare and hard-to-find.
Seriously. When is the last time you saw a male *not* need the help of a woman to complete a task in a show/movie in the last 10 years?
Speaking of extremism^
I've come to expect it, unfortunately. How they're not self aware though, that still puzzles me every time I read stuff like it
That's not an extreme. It's just simple logic, and fairness.
You're either trolling or disillusioned.
You can't say
"Stop making so many laws/movies/shows by women, about women and for women. Complaints will instantly stop."
while also saying
"I'm not saying these things can't exist. They can and should. However, men would also like to see positive representation. Which has become rare and hard-to-find."
It's blatantly contradictory* and extremist. If you read the post at all, you'd understand the meaning of "compromise" and not still be spewing extremist, black and white faux-solutions
Nobody is critiquing you saying "I want to be represented" but I am now critiquing you for trying to critique people who you presumably think look for reasons to be offended, while looking for your own reason to be offended.
Nothing you said implies simple logic, and fairness. It heavily implies a segregated mindset, which I spoke out against in the main post.
advocating for more collaborative projects that emphasise equal dynamics of representation- not advocating for extremist segregation
Akin to leaving a wound for an infection to fester. Avoidance only leads to echo-chambers, which fosters more extremism because of those segregated chambers. People need to be taught critical thinking in school- but that won't happen, because then people would start using their newfound thinking process against their government

Y'all are ridiculous, how are you this blind? I'll underline and bold the problem for you.
It's still promoting segregation by grouping movies by gender. There always will be things that appeal in a more general sense to men or women respectively, but trying to only appeal to one gender at the time IS the problem. I can't believe I actually have to articulate these things. IE there should be movies made by people for people, not by women for women or by men for men. This teeter-tottering of extremism only leads to tribalism
