Take a look at Steam's best sellers. From these, only Elden Ring is there (in the top 10, I mean).
Well, you don't have to care. Like I said, the majority of HIGHLY successful games is Western and the list proves it. You know that Steam dominates the PC platform, a lot of people don't buy games out of Steam even if they're cheaper...
You think it doesn't? Ok.
Anyway, I will just go ahead and block you now, so we won't have to interact again.
Have a nice day.
Well, clearly that wasn't enough to become truly popular. I suppose you're referring to Monster Hunter, a lot of people don't even know this franchise. Thanks for the block, it means I won't read more from you
It wouldn't kill you to admit you're wrong sometimes. It has sold the same amount as GTA 4, so clearly it is a very popular game.
GTA IV sold over 25 million copies by 2013, according to its Wikipedia page. Obviously it's a lot more now.
You want an example of a truly popular Japanese game? Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill... Monster Hunter is not even close in terms of popularity.
No you just set too low a bar
You're correct about GTA 4. Still MHW is on par with sales of Hogwarts Legacy, which is a highly succesful and popular game.
I don't have the figures, but I seriously doubt any Silent Hill game ever has sold 25 million copies.
PS. The entire Silent Hill series by 2013 had only sold 8,4 million copies and there hasn't been another one since. They've probably sold a few million more since, but the entire series doesn't even get close to the sales of MHW.
