Why are western games low quality?
Why are western games low quality? I was watching the gameplay trailer of the new Assassin's Creed and the combat looks abysmal with terrible animations.

When I was young and I witnessed the AI and mechanics in games like Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, I imagined games twenty years later would be mind-blowing.

What happend?

Are they? I mean, the majority of highly succesful games is Western, I guess. Honestly I think you're mixing up things, just because I don't enjoy a game that doesn't mean it's low quality.
MHW = Japanese
Genshin Impact = Chinese
Elden Ring = Japanese

etc.

The only real except is BG3, and they pretty much rejected everything other western companies are doing, and they even called those other companies out on it. They are the exception that proves the rule.

Take a look at Steam's best sellers. From these, only Elden Ring is there (in the top 10, I mean).

Nobody cares. That list is short term and Steam only. Meanwhile, MHW, for example, has sold over 25,000,000 copies.

Well, you don't have to care. Like I said, the majority of HIGHLY successful games is Western and the list proves it. You know that Steam dominates the PC platform, a lot of people don't buy games out of Steam even if they're cheaper...

Then why bother to complain at all if nobody cares about the quality but japanese games?

No, it objectively doesn't. It is an objective fact that MHW has sold over 25 million copies.

Anyway, I will just go ahead and block you now, so we won't have to interact again.

Have a nice day.

Nobody cares about the "top sellers" list on the Steam Store front page.

Well, clearly that wasn't enough to become truly popular. I suppose you're referring to Monster Hunter, a lot of people don't even know this franchise. Thanks for the block, it means I won't read more from you :steamhappy:

Wokeism, DEI, gambling, microtransactions, etc. Games stopped being an art and started being goyslop meant to push agendas and farm money. Things like Xbox Game Pass and whatever PlayStation is doing are great, bunch of games for a monthly subscription, but if you can get all those games for a few dollars a month it just shows how worthless they are. These games aren't even worth the bandwidth to pirate anymore.

Meanwhile, South Korea proves why it's the best Korea by giving us large breasted jiggly Asian women.

Important to note in addition to this is even western games that don't have woke messaging the companies spend a load of money on woke consultants and HR managers that isn't going towards making a good game

It wouldn't kill you to admit you're wrong sometimes. It has sold the same amount as GTA 4, so clearly it is a very popular game.

GTA IV sold over 25 million copies by 2013, according to its Wikipedia page. Obviously it's a lot more now.

You want an example of a truly popular Japanese game? Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill... Monster Hunter is not even close in terms of popularity.

You're correct about GTA 4. Still MHW is on par with sales of Hogwarts Legacy, which is a highly succesful and popular game.

I don't have the figures, but I seriously doubt any Silent Hill game ever has sold 25 million copies.

PS. The entire Silent Hill series by 2013 had only sold 8,4 million copies and there hasn't been another one since. They've probably sold a few million more since, but the entire series doesn't even get close to the sales of MHW.
