I think soccer is super boring.
Why’s it so popular everywhere outside the US?

It’s like hockey but without the fights. Nothing ever happens and people rarely score. It’s just running back and forth.

Where’s the entertainment?

People enjoy things you don’t, there shouldn’t be a need of a deeper explanation

Facts.
I think hockey does everything that soccer does but in a way more interesting and fast-paced manner.
You could try watching tennis. Constant scoring.

Playing sports will always be more fun than watching it, if you are engaging for personal enjoyment. The focus of watching sports teams is innately tied to cheering your own team on, whether they be friends or family.

No ♥♥♥♥. I’m asking for people who want to explain for an explanation. I’m not demanding one.

With your logic people should just avoid conversing entirely.

In order to gain perspective you do not have you must communicate. That’s what I’m doing.

there is enjoyment and community in watching a strategically deep and complex game get utterly flattened by drafting and money. everyone feels this pain, together.

I don't enjoy sports very often. but I enjoy the empty, repetitive nature of american football. the constant churning of meat, helmet, ball, toss, run, foul, replay. it's also a very deep and complicated game. and it's also flattened by simple economics.

it puts me at peace. like how a catholic must feel at church.

While I myself have zero interest in football, I do understand that it is very easy to play. All you need is a tin can and you can play it in your school during break. This is probably why it became popular in the first place. Also the rules are very easy to understand and follow, even if you already have had 4 beers.

But I also find it mind-boggingly boring, especially if the game ends 0:0.

Gaelic Football on the other hand is actually pretty awesome and I wish it was more popular outside of Ireland.

Uh yeah, soccer is the most boring sport ever devised.

Luckily, almost everyone outside the MLS plays football instead

Nobody is forcing you to watch it. Men like football. Real football. Deal with it.

Yes, it is, I find chess enjoyable to play more than playing soccer.

Nothing is worse than lacrosse. One of the worst sports in history. Boring and the people who play it are hicks.

Then again, for Americans it's boring if blood isn't spilled every 5 minutes :P

At least World Football isn't ruined by excessive commercials, like most US sports are.:VGRUMPY:
