For hetero men in the #metoo era, it is potentially cheaper ( but you get what you pay for) and always safer to seek the services of a professional if sex is all that's required.
If you are comparing to fast food, gas and gorceries I am guessing it's for sex so yeah, dating could get not just expensive but dangerous.

best date i had was when i was in college, met a girl i was talking too on and off for a while after we finished for the day, i asked her if she was doing anything she told me no so i said fancy coming for a walk with me to the river near by. we sat and talked for ages skipping stones and messing around with each other, eventually she made me go swimming with her in the river after a few hours i asked her if she wanted to come back to my house. she smiled gave me a kiss on the cheek and said yes, ofc more happened afterwards but i had a awesome time and so did she and no money was involved or needed just good times and natural chemistry <3
