I remember how OT used to be like a few years ago.
It was never as bad as the Xbox online experience back in the 00's with people screaming over the mic and using slurs, but OT used to have its share of problems.

Steam Off Topic has become better and better every passing year.
Gotta hand it to the Mods who are doing a great job at making this community inclusive, progressive and wholesome.

This month of June is gonna be even better when the Steam Summer Sale start later this month. Proud of how we together have told off the toxic haters and of how we are standing united against bigotry. Keep spreading the positive vibes gamers!

I think you are sadly mistaken that it is becoming more Liberal and Progressive. Individuals simply see things the way they want. Defining them is actually the Liberal thing to do.

Secondly while there may be haters here most of the people who think others are haters find the opposing opinions insulting therefore they think they are haters. That is a undeniable fact here.

Maybe the actual reason is people are becoming more accepting of others opinions. Personally I think we can have diametric views but still accept each others opinions.

For example using the rainbow there in your topic title (depending on how you look at it) could be viewed in more than one way. While I understand that I am willing to be open minded about it.

When I was growing up I was taught that there are three things you don't talk about in public (yes, I consider forums and social media to be public places) ... religion, ♥♥♥, and politics. Why? Because those topics are the most likely to cause a ruckus ... or worse. You are likely never to see those topics be a kindly place to visit.

As a fellow gamer all I can say is I appreciate other gamers. OT isn't really meant to be for only gaming which makes it a far difficult place to share opinions. Others will see it the way they want to and more power to them. While it would be nice if we could all get along that is not how humanity works in general.

Typical words from a liberal. We are not fascists. We do believe in system of law and justice for the society at large.

We have experience of what happens when a society has unrestricted freedom, that nation didn't last that long. The whole goal is to make my nation safer for everyone. Unfortunately, the liberals cannot understand this and allow crime and poverty run rampant.
