i need food ideas
i am back to eating soup but idk what else to eat tbh.

its really annoying the older you get cause its so hard to find food that is new to enjoy and having allergies oral or fatel really is annoying since you are limited in society to what food you can eat.

sigh getting older sucks

rice cooker, nori, spread rice on nori, add slice carrot and tuna, roll up. cut into slices
Brown vegetable rice? I found white rice to be bland and when I had some nice spiced vegetable rice from a nearby asian place it was way better than what I had.

Also Brocoli cheddar soup is nice

A good sandwhich changes a man

Pork Ribs with grill spiced cooked in the oven?

Steak?
My favorite sandwich:

Butter, Pixie Stix, and Cap'n Crunch cereal, on white bread,
If you're eating a lot of soup, don't sleep on Egg Noodles. They are cheap and quick to cook and have a great texture IMO.

One great thing about being older is you're home more. So you can make stocks more frequently. I make chicken soup at least once a week.

I get a whole chicken and butcher it myself. Then I make a stock with the carcass and some onion, carrot, celery. Skim it frequently and take out all the solids when done.

I'll then take the stock and put in some white meat and fresh carrots, onion, celery and some seasoning. You can pluck the chicken out and shred it with a hand mixer before putting it back in. Add some egg noodles if you're more hungry.

Also beans are cheap. Liquid Smoke, bacon, white beans is a good soup.
I cn give you many recepies..

its summer so lets do something easy for you to start..

horsemeat steak.. grilled.
serve with mushroom sauce..

and a side of asperagus with holandeisesauce.

some cokd stewed pears..

and apples under the blanket for desert.

here is how to make it.

-the steak.. I trust you fo know how to prepare a steak just grill like a regulair steak.

you toss themushroomsauce on top and serve

-the asperagus.. if you get fresh ones : scrape of their skin than boil in hot water.. toss the water amd let cool/ or get ones in a jar (fresh os tastier)

before serving
you warm up your asperagus.. so that it is warm but still confortable to handle. (not needed if you made it fresh and it still is warm)
you wrap each asperagus in some good quality sliced ham.. and place in a flat ceramic ovenbowl.
you place in an grilloven on medium heat for a short period so the ham can grill abit.. male sure it does not dry out/burn a few minutes suffices.

you now toss hollandaisesauce on topthe asperhagus add a few whole boiled and peeled chicken eggs and serve.

the sauses..
first you make a rouge.. you needflour, butter, cream and beefstock (just buy a jar in this case)

you heat you pan.. melt some bitter do not let it brown.. add flour so you get a paste.. make sure it not burns/bakes so speed is off the essensence..
next you add your cream.. keep stirring.. watch it it will thicken..
when it thickens add your stock slowly in little bits..

split this basic sauce in two halves.
halve you toss on your asperagus.

for the mushroomsauce :
pick any mushrooms of your liking.. cut them small.. amd fry them shortly in a decent amount of butter.
this time it may brown.. bit you npt want your mushrooms to burn.. so time it well
toss this browed butter and thefried up mushroomsbits in your sauce anf voilla myshroomsauce.. for over your steak

now the stewed pears : peel stewing pears and cook them in a mixture of : sweet red wine, to which you aded oramge peels, vanillasticks, cinamonsticks, anistars and sugar..
cook until when you poke into them they are soft.. but they still holding shape.
take the pears out and chill before serving
(dont toss the the wine its a great low alcohol sangria (as most alcohol will have boiled off) to serve alongside;)

the desert :
peel a solid and slightly sour apple like elstar or goldreinet leave it whole! take out the core, again.. while leaving it whole
.. now rub in your apples with cinnamonpowder and granulared sugar and place your apple(s) in theircserving bowls on a baking tray.
and heat in oven on low heat.. untill still holding shape but soft enough a spoon can cut easely trough them.

now.. you need rum-raisins.. if those aint sold where you live you soak rasins in rum.. for 48h thats it.
you fill the empty and stewed apple with these rum-raisins.
now you cook vannilla custard (I presume you know how to do thar yes?)

you toss the still hot custard on the now nice and chilled stewed apple..

the difference in temperature and textures is most pleasant.

Brown nutty rices are my favorite. Vegetables like zucchini and squash. Oils and spices cost a lot be will be availnext time you cook. Some cooking wines are nice to have. A saute pan. A wok. A rice cooker.

Get a crockpot aka slow cooker. You can put anything in those things.

i can give many more recepies.. simpler or more eleborate just say so.
Someone said Mushroom sauce, I remember going to a resturaunt that gave me pork with Mushroom Garlic sauce, that was amazing. I don't know how you make it but I assume it's a mixture of mushroom and garlic
Oh god, please not instant oatmeal.

Just get rolled oats or "Original" Quaker Oats. Same thing.

Water, Oats, pinch of salt, Tbsp of butter.

Put over any fruit.

Takes like 4 minutes longer.

Another good thing to do with Oatmeal is to make Granola and put it on Yogurt.

Wanna know a trick? Oatmeal. Get those instant oatmeal packets, add water, and microwave. Oatmeal is great at stopping hunger and forcing you to be full. Won't be looking for something to eat after that.

and you can add Fruits, berries, walnuts, cinnamon etc on top
In Poland they have a dessert, forgot whats its called.

You get a waffle, put nuttella, put whip cream on top and whatever berries or fruit you want like blue berries, strawberries, raspeberries, blackberries.

it's really good and a nice summer dessert.
