No it would not. Banning sexuality is basically just the first step into a way more extreme and restrictive society, the U.S has always been somewhat weird and shy about sexuality, while openly portraying dead bodies and gore on TV like its the most normal thing on the planet.

i feel like this is rather needed much to protect this generation while it still has ANY redeeming qualities left to them.

The problem is that young people learn from it, and of course, also, many parents don't want their kids to have access to it. Failing to correctly regulate it, the politicians do their usual thing, which is to ignore it, or ban it.
The real answer would be to regulate it, so it is more responsible.
