Warning over Manhole Covers

Just got a warning over asking for a manhole cover mod in Cyberpunk 2077. There was certainly a humorous element to the question, but it was absolutely legitimate.

CDPR absolutely lacks any humour. Needless to say, I'll put my money were my mouth is.


Were you ever warned or even banned from a game forum over legitimate questions?

I only got a perma ban for talking about domestic terrorism in the states on nexusmods forum in 2012, I think it was Oklahoma City Bombing or David Koresh waco

I asked for a unban a few years ago and was denied

I created another username in 2012 at nexusmods and stopped using there forum and even went premium with them

It wasn't a legitimate question but I made a post joking about adding pronouns to Manor Lords in their discussions. It was obvious satire.

I'm not even kidding, within 5 minutes the topic had amassed a large number of very very angry individuals giving me history lessons and going off with unhinged conspiracy theories.

Needless to say I got perma banned about an hour after. Perma banned.

Edit: Ironically got jestered to ♥♥♥♥ and went on a shopping spree in the points shop. I wasn't even farming jesters but I sure did harvest them.

It was not a legit question and you know it wasn't. It was an absolute troll question and you knew it would not be addressed. You were trying to get a response and you got one. Similar to your troll thread about said manhole cover that got locked FOR BEING A TROLL THREAD. Who cares if a manhole cover in a video game is not representative of the actual manhole cover. So it wasn't cool or edgy but it sure made you out to look like a troll, and you actually had the nerve to try the same garbage on the actual developer. SMH......

Honestly, if everybody makes similar questions to yours, I can TOTALLY understand the ban...

Is like those artists that do not want to take commisions anymore so they just start blocking everybody becuase they get tired of so many requests and nobody reads the "not taking comissions" text on their profile...

No hate for manhole covers as they are inanimate objects. They cover a hole in the road and I could care less if they are not portrayed accurately in a video game. If you or anyone has an actual problem with a manhole cover in a freaking video game, then there is a good chance you need help. But if you post about it, you have freely leapt into troll territory.

You make a pretty good point. The manhole covers are very inaccurate and that kind of ruins the immersion.

Yeah, and what's more shocking, neither CDPR nor modders seem to have addressed this issue thus far. Quite the opposite, as they ban and ridicule any discussion about it.
