People tend to change their views the older their become. When your young you have no responsibility, you have many friends, you have no body to be responsible for, your full of liberal idea's, you see the world in a different light.
Once you start working, having children, owning property, paying bills and being responsible for yourself and your own family, your mind set quickly changes. You no longer believe in giving half of your money you worked hard for to people who haven't done a days work in their lives.
You want to feel safe walking the streets, you don't want your stuff you worked hard for being robbed, you don't want your children being builled, so you lose empathy for criminals and general bad behaviour. You don't want your own kids to do drugs, hang out with the wrong people, go to protests, do things you did in your youth.... Now your a conservative.
