What do you propose? What plan does Starmer have to train and discipline the youth?
What if you wake up one morning and China have invaded Taiwan? Our youth are unskilled and untrained to deal with a war and the pensioners certainly aren't going to fight.
You were in the military and while not everything was handed to you on a silver platter when you left the services, you aren't in prison or a drug den which may be true for some of the others who grew up on the estate.
I still do not care, go fight then, stop telling others to fight for you, really, fully, literally, no fcuks to give.

It's Sunak that has made a vow to conscription.
It's a bold move but what do you and Starmer propose?
Anybody else remember that play of the Spanish killing the people of Gibraltar not so long ago as a school play?
A vow?
I am not looking at that link but it was a choice about paid National Service for a year in the army or having the opportunity to volunteer a weekend every month with police, NHS, fire service and maybe social care.
Quality Soldiers > Quantity Soldiers
If only that was true.
Better tech/equipment > more soldiers
But that is as far as I would go
