i remember in one of the transformers cartoons (armada perhaps, or one of series in that continuity) there was an ongoing subplot where starscream defected from the decepticons and made a genuine attempt to turn good with the autobots

do not really remember how it ended, but unfortunately i think he does go back to megatron eventually

so starscream, but that version of him specifically

When I was a kid, it was Shockwave.

I kinda like Big Daddy and Overlord because they're cool looking and obscure.

I guess if I had to pick one from a cartoon medium, it's hard not to say Optimus Prime and/or Megatron/Galvatron are best.

IIRC, he sacrifices himself for the Armada kids and then is brought back as a decepticon/ghost in Energon or some crap.

i see, i see. thank you for the infos! i really want to go back and watch that continuity one day, i was loving how dark it felt overall and how it was not being afraid to kill off characters and such.
