was more refering to "a child should be exposed to something they completely understand" since Im sure most kids dont understand >90% of the celebrations, I guess we could even ban christmas with that argument
Christmas is all about materialistic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ anyway, so sure, let's ban it.
This is something I don't care about because I prefer soda and I usually don't drink alcohol at all, but anyway I have been to various events where alcohol was allowed and most times people behaved normally, only a couple of times things went downhill which means that the real problem is something else, not just "alcohol".
Good luck with that.
So, like, what's the ultimate difference here? Kids aware that gay people exist are going to find out that gay people definitely really do exist even more than they ever thought before, or kids old enough to realise they're gay are going to... see a couple of floats and loads of people waving banners and maybe feel some degree of kinship. My God, the corruption they will undergo.
It's not exactly Folsom Street Fair or similar. Most events worldwide are strictly PG and that's PG because someone somewhere might swear. Last pride event I think I witnessed was probably in Glasgow and that was just a sea of people wearing occasionally brightly coloured clothing but with often very brightly coloured flags. If you think that's obscene, don't watch the Olympic opening ceremony. And it easily could have been obscene, as it was Glasgow.
And that's gay in the sense of, well, you know, the whole umbrella for the sake of brevity.
Of course, no.
As for Pride events, I didn't consider them being nude? What's the problem?
It's entirely up to the parents.
Depending on the event content, if restricted, just consider doing it during school hours if that's the issue?
Pride events near me have naked men dancing.
Pride events near me have naked men having too much fun in public. Not for children.
Their cis-parents kissing is already introducing sexuality to minors. You just have double standards. You are the one, who is sexualizing LGBTQ+ people, because that is all you see in them.
