That's what we're seeing on American tv. And the French, who cut pensions, raised retirement ages, yellow vest movements, caused mass riots, and yet, they'll settle for conscription.

These even have plenty of ways to either skip or delay the service.
Ie. if you are studying, then you can just delay it and if you are done to late, then you skip due to age. Service is also more like training and in some places as low as 6 months.

No wonder. It was the same in Bulgaria. After high school you want to go to university to skip 2 years of military service.

If we ever went to a draft over these matters, we'd likely have a national security issue based more on that, then even our adversary. And so, no, that'll never happen.

But in Europe they're scared to death of this Putin, so it seems, and if they are, they'll go to conscription. I think it's awful. But they have to vote them out, IF they don't feel the same. But maybe they do. Best of luck Tito.

Only about half of americans even use social media. You understand how social media works right? Why would you even make that point?

Either way, the citizens of usa are better armed than their own military. Draft or not, they will all do whatever it takes to protect their own family and property from anything or anyone.

The founding fathers were way ahead of their time and had it figured out early.

Right, i saw Sunak in trouble, but Starmer seems not much better on these issues.

Though he may not get an overall majority, the Lib Dems may have a say.

That'll end any talk of national service over there i would think, and given George Galloways influence, a non starter. But that's the UK, not Italy, Germany, or others. And Macron has been talking about an EU Military for awhile.
