People do like putting skulls on stuff though.
The ones posting about getting drafted are tho
Something we can all agree on.
Any dominant nation is unwillingly put in the role of policeman. Egypt, the Roman Empire, Great Britain, and so forth.
Imperial Rome had to fight the Germanic tribes, Celtic tribes, North Africa, Slavics and Eastern Europe in general. In fact they're the cause of today's Palestinian conflict.
But if you could go back in time and ask any Roman if they liked war and wanted more war, they would say "no:. They liked their armies, took pride in their military, but weren't big on it.
All those American movies coming out of Hollywood that you think glamorize war, are really telling a different story.
The US has been taken advantage of since its founding, starting with North Africa and the barbary pirates. It's own Civil War, and both world wars. It doesn't want to have to fight again.
But there's always a scum bag out there, like a Saddamn Hussein or a Milosovic or someone who thinks that killing people is the solution. It isn't.
I wish Americans, the best military in the world, didn't have to fight other people's battles, but if it isn't Bin Laden, then it's someone in Syria or ISIS.
At one time the US could peacefully buy oil from the Middle East without getting involved in its affairs. But you have enough people willing to listen to fiery rhetoric of their leaders to lob bombs, missiles and shoot bullets at people trying to do business with the US.
And wars are expensive. Blood and gold both.
No. You know nothing about the usa. And we are called Americans just a fyi.
Then there are business entities trying to take advantage of the military engagements that the USA gets into. Whichever country is "liberated" is flooded by investment from Blackrock and others. Reconstruction, rebuilding, new businesses, local branches of western companies, etc. Especially when it's a country with deposits of valuable resources such as oil and rare metals.
Long story short, it's profitable.
This is why Zelesnky backed out of the Minsk accords. He is a USA puppet and the peace proposal must have ruined whatever investment the Bidens are involved in. So they clearly want a total Ukrainian victory to get their money's worth out of whatever deal they made. It's also why there are rumors that NATO is preparing a strike.
It would be clear NATO violation though. NATO is a defensive treaty and Ukraine isn't a mamber. Nor could Ukraine join NATO while they are still at war - doing that would be a clear offensive action against Russia.
But biden is nearing the end of his term and Trump is coming back stronger than ever. Biden must be desperate to see some results.
F the whole biden family. Bunch of crooks who abused the office to enrich themselves and impoverish our entire country.
I've never met one US citizen obsessed with going to war, they will defend their country fiercely if you're threatning to invade and change their ways and I'm talking about the civilians, the ones in the forces are there to keep the crazies at bay so it doesn't happen, and what better way to keep them off of your lawn than to kick their @ on theirs if they have the idea to do just that.
I don't think it's an obsession, when you have everything, you know some will want it and you have to be prepared to defend it.
