No nuclear war will kill ALL humans.
so yes mankind will survive.. civilization.. likely not..

if we presume the complete arsenal of all nuclear nations gets denotated at the worst targets.,.

1 most likely 200-500 million will die in the initial blast
2 most likely that deadtoll will rise to about 2 billion will die in the next week due radioation potioning.
3\ the fast starvation, an aditional 700 million will die in the next few months due the breakdown of global trade, nations dependant on food and fuel imports especially those in africa who will starve..
4 the slow starvation : over 90%^of all farmland on earth is knocked out, (as it is located near where the nukes will have fallen) on top of the end of global trade.. plus about a nucleair winter of 10 year...

all this likely will mean the global population after that decade when that nuclear winter will end, will have dropped to 1 to 2 billion
australia and argentina, nations that are far away from where the bombs will drop and that also haave a large food surpluss, will likely maintain most their population.
->
africa likely will likely be reduced to 10-15% of it's current population.
(due starvation mostyly as it will be mostly outside the blast zone)

asia will likely be reduced to about 8% of it's current population (and it depends strongly where in asia)

north america likely will be reduced to 3-4% of it's current population.

and europe will drop to below 1% of it's current population (mostly due it being so dense that basicly the whole lot of it be irradiated)

so when the bombs start dropping you better be in argentina or australia.
new zealand can also work..

X to doubt.

the Tsar Bomb was the biggest but no reference now to it moving the Earth. - checking some more.

They had to restrict it from the original design because it was too powerful.
sorry, but 100 megaton is still small

there is not enough nukes in the world to destroy every city and town. life would survive

did you read the subject about tsar bomba ?

at best it may deliver 100 megaton, so nope 100 megaton is not enough to affect planet earth

you need teraton tnt energy to affect earth rotation, tilt and movement around the sun

yes, even if all nuclear missiles would have been fired we would still do well

Of course it would. It would be knocked back to a pre-industrial age, but it will pickup and recover in a century or so.
Well if we view it from on a cynic viewpoint we also solve the "overpopulation" problem claimed by some extremist groups. And solve in the most inhumane way possible climate change & pollution, since most humans and live beings of the planet would be dead, so there would be very few and unlucky folks to keep talking about those issues, because they will busy struggling to survive in the days after global nuclear winter begins.

Funny I saw a reddit thread the other day with a chart that showed explosion sizes for Mike, Bravo, and Tsar Bomba and the height in kilometers that their mushroom clouds reached.

Redditors were convinced the chart was false and that Little Boy was much more powerful.

They've probably seen the before and after pictures of Hiroshima. Castle Bravo blew up bikini atoll, and Tsar Bomba was out somewhere in the wilderness. No nice before and after pictures. Just craters.

The truth is Little Boy is one of the weakest nuclear bombs ever detonated. North Korea can make nukes as powerful as Little Boy.

Mike and Bravo were ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ monumental nuclear blasts. Absolutely gargantuan.

Tsar Bomba was even more powerful than Mike and Bravo. If Tsar Bomba was dropped almost anywhere on the east coast USA, it would likely erase multiple cities. Especially if it was dropped someplace like in NY state where there are multiple cities close together.

* I just tested it with https://nuclearsecrecy.com/nukemap/ if you drop Tsar Bomba on Medina, NY the thermal shockwave hits both Buffalo and Rochester.

manathan yes

manathan+sub urban area well damage going to be massive, but long island, new jersey should be ok, only glass going to break

it is why big nuke suck and than we go with mirv and multi nuclear strike, 10 one megaton nuke will cause more damage than tsar bomba on new york, with 100 100kt nuke you will be able to destroy new york+suburban area at 99%, tsar bomba at best is 50%

If you mean a nuclear world war then no. Even if anyone survived immediately after it would be like chernobyl but everywhere, ecology wouldn't recover in time to avoid extinction.

they restrict it, because they fear about radiation, than the bomber is not able to escape the blast, than the blast going to break glass in important cities in russia like Murmansk

reason is the design is supposed to use uranium 238 shell, but they prefer to replace with lead, because uranium 238 go fission+thermonulear explosion=a good radiation fallout

but tsar bomba didnt have enough nuclear fusion fuel to go above 100 megaton

But there won’t be much to live for afterwards

no they barely survived one nuke and a nuclear fall.
