So I think it's safe to say social media is a large influence on the rise of people seeking medical procedures for issues around gender.
The second question is kinda tough to answer. I know my life would be much easier if I did this theoretical treatment, but I also kind of have an NPC personality, and being trans is my one unique quality. The problem with that is that people would then say that I'm just seeking attention. It's complicated, and I would probably see how it affects other, braver, people before I consider it myself.
The third question can be answered on a case by case basis. An overwhelming majority of trans people (myself included) feel more comfortable when they start a transition, and they often feel even better after the surgery. I haven't gotten a surgery yet, so I can't say anything about that. This may all seem great, but a small yet notable chunk of transgender people feel no better after a transition and surgery. They either regret it, or end up having some other problems. After all, (depending on how complete of a transition surgery you get) you are literally removing and creating new organs in your body, which leaves plenty of room for major problems, especially if the transgender person in question is still interested in reproduction. Of course thisnwill lead to both physical and mental complications. Like I said, each person has a unique transition, none of them are exactly the same
There's a thing called testosterone blockers. It may have... funny effects that I should not mention here.
When you give the people chocolate cakes, 1% are upset and want a strawberry cake. Does it matter why?
