~30 trillion cells in the average human ~72Kg. Perhaps they all have souls too, if they are not sentient/self aware on an individual level. ;)
There are estimates that around 8000 different species of bacteria live within the human digestive tract, unclear if that is the norm or each person gets a small slice of the 8K viable possibilities.
During the life time of a human, 75 years on average, how many quadrillions of viral, bacterial and fungal infections/counts does a human body hold host to (skin has a whole colony of fungus/bacteria and microscopic life forms e.g. mites, in addition), not to speak of larger multi-cellular parasites (worms in intestinal tract etc).
Humans, like all living creatures on this planet are an environment for an entire ecosystem of life, a mobile host/colony.
Just like all the life within, on and outside of a human, a human creates more copies of itself, because life span is limited. A partner is required for that, as humans can not replicate via parthenogenesis.
After shelter, food/drink, medicine; a partner is the next most important thing. All BS aside, the short form of it might be surmised as instinct.
The real question is why "life" does all of this, does it start at a level lower than virus or does it start at virus level, if we are nothing more than complex series of seemingly accidental and co-incidental chemical reactions (biology as a sub-set of chemistry as a sub set of physics as a sub set of maths), then yes indeed you have a good question, since simply being alive for a day is succeeding for others already, not just yourself.
Even if you don't feel amazing, your continued existence is, all things considered, especially with how fragile life is. Outer space lethal to life, planet core lethal to life, we all stuck on a tiny slither of existence, even if Earth seems massive compared to a human (all the lifeforms within the bio-sphere being plentiful, both in count and species, whales/trees down to virus size), its nothing more than a grain of sand in an ocean, in the grand scheme of things.
If I have a point, enjoy your life as best you can, don't concern yourself what others are doing or not doing.
Plenty of men would.
its also kinda funny cuz it becomes a loop, if you think about it .
>Man craves connection
>Man buys connection because he cannot achieve by non-monetary means
>Women look down on Man because he has to buy and cannot achieve connection without monetary means
>Man can only achieve connection through monetary means.
also the plastic surgery industry which now is speculating that fillers and injections cause cancer! becaues theyre actually really new procecdures.
It feels like it's a perfect example of "it seemed like a good idea at the time."
