this universe makes no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sense
i seriously just dont understand how the ♥♥♥♥ does this place work????

big man spawns from the void for some damn reason and decides he will create humans, planets, space and the entire universe, then he makes it so when you die you become inmortal and either suffer forever in hell or have an eternal life in heaven, a really beautiful place where you are being watched 24/7 by transparent balls with 9 eyes inside of them, that also have wings!

or

for some reason this tiny ball comes from nowhere and explodes, somehow that tiny ball contained enough matter to create a forever expanding universe, and for some reason, over the time, trillions of stars, planets, galaxies, and eventually life are created
the organisms (on earth) evolve and at some point one of the species develop conscience then creates languages, dominates the entire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ planet and end up developing space ships, nuclear bombs, etc

and dont make me talk about black holes, jesus ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ christ, how the actual ♥♥♥♥ do those things exist on the first place????

my sincere apologies for my broken english, my main language is spanish

"And people wonder why humans are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weird and have odd experiences that aren’t actually real. I mean, if a bowl of tapioca pudding managed to hallucinate so vividly it invented calculus, it also going “dude, i heard a weird noise and i’m 100% sure it was the ghost of the neighbor’s cat which hasn’t actually died yet” would be just as expected as anything else."
Things pop in and out of existence all the time, it's called Quantum Flux.

Because there's really no such thing as nothing, even before the Big Bang. It's just that the ways we can measure it are different after the Big Bang than before. 4 forces vs 1.
It's all, wibbly wobbly timey wimy.
OP you should play No Man's Sky and take in the whole story.

No, the Universe won't make more sense. Not much, anyway. A little.

It might help you get used to it not making sense, though.

Or you could read five hundred heavy philosophy books. Whereupon, the universe still won't make more sense. Not much, anyway. And your head will hurt.

No Man's Sky is more fun than five hundred heavy philosophy books.
It's an opportunity to enjoy yourself for a little while, hopefully you get to do that op.
Too much thought, Play a computer game.

Philosophy never enlightened me. It was all a waste of time.

And the graphics sucked. :stray_robot:

There is a book called Sophie's World everyone should read who is thinking about getting into reading the great works of philosophy, or even anyone who is currently an avid reader of the philosophers from antiquity through the modern age.

https://www.amazon.com/Sophies-World-History-Philosophy-Classics/dp/0374530718

Read it to the end. It explains quite well how philosophy is a losing game, and it's all chaos at the end of it all. Not just the book. Philosophy itself. Nonsensical, pointless chaos is its logical endpoint.

i don't exactly hate philosophy, i just don't like the feel of superiority behind it. it's fun to learn imo. not much in terms of what comes after learning it
oh wait, we're talking about the big bang theory. yeah the show is funny

I don't read philosophy to agree or disagree, but rather for a wider understanding of viewpoints.

it's not, in hindsight. It was only the laugh track making your (and my) monkey brain think it was funny. Funny shows don't need a laugh track.
