except if you mean like 12 h by day for 3 days by week
or if your point are we willing to work more to get more money ???
i suppose it depend which lifestyle you want
normal life vs being slave and get more money
in my country not so much people are happy to korean lifestyle
But then they got rid of the night shift to try to save money. A lot of production happened during the night shift to back fill for filling the next day (filling is faster than production), so they started producing a lot less.
They decided to make up for this wither permanent optional (but not really) over time. So I was working 12:30 - 02:30 four days a week. When you work 14 hours a day, there's no time for anything else. Anything else you want to do cuts into sleeping time. It's literally get up, go to work, get home, sleep. For four days.
Fortunately that came to a stop when the night shift was reinstated, and now I don't work in QC anymore. Now I work 8 hours, no over time, no weekends. I don't have any staff of my own so I can basically come and go as I please. I'm never late because I don't need to be at work at any particular time
you get hours of nothing, but when you actually do have to work, you have to do it then and now, regardless of what else you were doing.
I guess that would suck if you had a social life, but I don't, so I'm good.
Is literaly impossible to keep productivity if you work 12 h on each work day... It becomes a nightmare after the 6th hour knowing you still have to be 6 h more...
Also that those 12 h do not count the time going to your work place and going back home, making it even worse...
Even if 12 h/day meant working 4 days instead of 5, the sacrifice is not worthy specially that now some countries start to reduce the classic 40 h/week work to 37,5 h or less... :V
For example 12 hours shift could be 4 days work 4 days off while you get paid like 40 hours?
When it come to 12 hours shift it kind of weird because not every place is same, you could be working weird amount of days, it can be 2/2, 4/4, 5/2. 3/3... can't think of anything else.
When it comes it 8 hours shift it only has one shift patters and it from Monday until Friday.
12 hours shift could be over all better than 8 hours because you get more days off for example you work 4 days and get 4 days off while on 8 hours shift you get only 2 days off while having more time for yourself after work
12x4=48 not 40... So you get 8 h unpaid? 🤨
